I heard about this college for a conference I attended last year in 2015 at Delhi University. I took the VITMEE exam for the MCA program and got 12th rank in all of India.

This answer may not be agreed upon by a few people, but the curriculum in MCA in VIT is very ill-framed. The topics in the syllabus are so redundant. The research carried out by teachers is on very very boring topics, something that doesn't inspire me at least.

At least one internship or implant training is compulsory for the academic curriculum. It will be validated for 2 credits out of 182 total number of required credits for your degree. After it is up to you to have multiple internships.

Most of the companies come here for two job profiles. One software engineer and business analyst. There are no special skills required for a business analyst profile whereas you need to know coding very well for the other one. Since luck not being in your hands, what you can do is start coding. It is always an advantage to know the thing the world needs the most right now.

There are two the tech fest is called GraVITas and has a focus on tech and design events. It usually takes place in the fall semester sometime in September or October. The cultural fest focuses mostly on cultural and literary events and is called Riviera. It is usually organized in the winter semester around February.

The latest I know it's around 2 lakh per year as tuition fee with hostel fee and Mess fee extra. Hostel fee depends upon the type of accommodation like single double to 6 sharing, and from AC to non-AC. Similarly with mess special mess, both Indian kitchen and south Indian mess, charges are different.

One has to give three exams in a semester - CAT-1 (minor exams just like the unit tests you have in school) which are held in the 2nd or 3rd week of August, CAT-2, in the month of October, and then Term End Exams during November. The first semester exams are usually conducted from the second week of November. The dates may change if the Diwali holidays fall in November.

Firstly MCA in VIT would be a good option if u want to join a deemed university after trying your luck in IIT NIT and BITSAT. Now coming to the point. The MCA faculty of VIT is considered to be better in giving marks and being friendly with the students when compared to the other bachelor fields in the university. Comparing them with the other college lectures will also give them a lenient remark.
