Remarks

The admission process was very smooth. As I am from the 2020 batch so counseling was obviously in online mode and I didn't face any issue dealing with it. The Admission process was regulated by JAC-DELHI. Admission happens through your score in JEE- mains exam you just have to select your college and branch from up to bottom in order of your preference. As we know we can get admission through JAC Delhi in four colleges(i.e. DTU, NSUT, IGNDTU, IIIT-D) you can get admission in any of the four.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this college obviously due to its fame and popularity (DTU is considered to be one of the best engineering colleges in India) and the reason behind selecting this particular branch(of course) is that MCE offers you career opportunities in three different fields(i.e Computer Science, Applied mathematics and Finance) placements are also very good as previous year records. Faculty is very great from my experience till now. The Level of exams are quite good as you can expect from any prestigious university you can easily get backlog in some subjects if you are not serious enough.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I am only in the 2nd semester so don't have quite an internship experience of my own but as far as my interaction with seniors are some of them get hefty amounts in internships. Companies like Amazon, Facebook, Google, Flipkart offer many internship opportunities to students.

Placement Experience

4

From 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements. Many tech giants and great companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Wipro, and others often visit campus and offer very good packages. The highest package sometimes reaches to crores and the average package is also around 12 lacs which is good. Almost all the ones who want to get placed get placement. My plan after getting a degree isn't to get placed but to become an entrepreneur.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of the university are one of the factors which are disappointing fees are very high( at least from a middle-class perspective). University offers various kinds of scholarships to students from weak backgrounds you can avail them but from my experience, they are very hard to get. Some of them are also financed by the Delhi government for SC/ST or OBC candidates for general candidates there isn't much scope. On-campus jobs I can only tell according to what I know. I don't have any experience because I am barely in 2nd year. But as much as I listen opportunities for campus placements are very good.

Campus Life

5

DTU organizes a fest called Engifest which is considered to be one of the best fest conducted by any college in Delhi. They are lots of other tech and cultural fests also. This year some got canceled and some happen only in online mode due to the situations. I only go to the library once or twice but according to my perspective, it is huge and great and equipped with a huge amount of books so availability of books isn't going to be a problem. Scope of sports and other extracurricular activities are also great in many sports DTUs team is considered one of the finest college teams. There are uncountable number of clubs and social groups inside the campus which are solely run by students like SIAM, MACS, Inferno DTU.

Other Applied Colleges

NSUT | B.Tech

I didn't opt for NSUT at last because as far as i listen campus life isn't that great over there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
