Remarks

Admission process was smooth enough and was completed within a short period of time. Details and information provided by the faculties regarding courses, academic, hostel facilities, placements were clear and accurate.

I have benefited a lot from doing electrical engineering. This gave me an opportunity to study practical technology and understand society's requirements in terms of communication, enrgy, tech. Faculties are equipped with innovative ways and are highly professional to make us understand subjects both in terms of academics and real time needs.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities can be offered by faculties as well as from seniors also. Make sure you have contacts, be social and try to gain knowledge and skills along with academics as both are important. Make friends from other departments too, you will get a chance to know the different requirements of the industry.

Placement Experience

Soon after 6th semsester, students become eligible to sit for campus placements. Almost every week one or the other campus drive is conducted and every time good number of students get placed. Infosys, Wipro, HCL, TCS, IBM, HP, Mindtree, Cognizant, Amazon were few of the companies which comes every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ample amount of opportunities are there. Facultie's guidance along with extra tech departments like "Qrides" made it very easy for us to do job hunting. A lot of students are hired by reputed companies on campus like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, TCS, Mindtree with variety of designations.

Campus Life

Span of four years was enjoyable. Infrastructure is good, hygiene is maintained. 3 days of annual fest to 1 day of tech fest, number of workshops arranged, with or without pandemic, all were connected!

Our college provide very fantastic placements , in every year they invited two or three companies in our college to get placements us.In last semester the students are eligible for for campus placements.Shilpa biological industry, biocon industry both company are offered the placement in last year. they told they provide highest packages 800000 rupees per year and averages 400000 per year . In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

Actually imnin 1st semester so I aks from seniors so they told me highest PKG of cs branch is 86LPA and machenical is 60 LPA they are off campus package and in campus 57 LPA for cse and they also give minor degree courses for placement chance is increased in cs branch 93 % students placed 125 compony visited in college in 2024-25 I plan I get job after b tech if I don't placed in campus so i tried EAE examination.

Honest review from a student who doesn't hate his college but at the same know there are multiple places for improvement

Placement Experience:

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%

i have 100 percent confidence on myself and the college placement .because it has 95 percent placement in it sector.the students are eligible from 5 or 6 th semester as of there.there are one of good companies who visit our college like amazon, tata, microsoft some years ago google also visited they tries to contact and give placements to students.it has 33 lakh highest and the median is good enough as 12 lakh anually.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Mtech Thermal Engineering because I was interested in thermal subjects like Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, CFD. The Curriculum is pretty decent and it does covers the fundamentals and advanced topics of the particular subject but it could be better in terms of imparting practical and industrial knowledge. The exams that are held in NITK are competitive and requires a good understanding of the subject. You simply cannot cram and get good marks in exam. You have to know the proper implementation of that particular formula or theory.
