Shubham Verma's Review On Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya Faculty Of Engineering & Technology, Haridwar

I had given JEE-Main (that was previously known as AIEEE) in 2013 and on the basis of its AIR i.e. 84949, I choose this college due to several reasons. I was also getting some NITs as well but I prefer to choose it as I came for my counselling in this college itself and at that time .

The course curriculum is well maintained and in whole B.Tech a student is taught about 50 subjects in total that not only includes the core subjects but also includes the subjects that are in Ist year so that a student gains an overall knowledge about the basic principles that are used in other fields also as it not only increases the knowledge but also give a deep insight into the subjects.

The college gives the students an opportunity to apply for the internship off campus. As far as on campus internship is considered, a student can get the internship by the refer of the distinguished guests that come to the college for the sessions on various new technologies as they need.

The career security is one of the key points that matters a lot in any college or university. As far as this year is concerned the company has started visiting the campus and till now JK Technosoft has come and the results are yet to be announced. Besides it, WebKul is also coming very soon.

There is a National Level Technical and Cultural fest called "Jnanagni-The Fire of Wisdom" organized every year in the college that includes various technical and non-technical events in which the students from various colleges, universities are allowed to register and showcase their skills and accordingly the prize is decided for most of the events.

The students can apply for the scholarship from their state governments considering this college as the Government one and many students have gotten the mentioned scholarship from their respective students. Besides, as such there is not any scholarship offered to the students by the university but yes there is some relaxation for sure for the SC/ST candidates and PWD also in various assets.

Exam Structure is very feasible and is well designed so that the student cam effectively perform and give the best out of themselves. There is semester scheme in B.Tech so in a year 2 semester exams are being held. The maximum marks of a subject is 100 out of which 70 marks is for theory and 30 marks are being considered for sessionals that are held as syllabus goes on.

The admission in under graduate course in any of the four engineering branches provided here i.e. Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in this college is purely on the basis of JEE-Main score only that is being conducted every year by CBSE for admission in various IITs, IIITs, NITs and various other CFTIs.
