Memorable days of life, My College days

I applied for the commerce stream in dr. B. R. Ambedkar college of commerce and arts at Wadala, but the results of that College and discipline was not good, so I joined Maharshi Dayanand college as I got selected in their merit list. I had a quota under Schedule Caste. Cut off list in year 2000 was 45 percentage for reservation candidates and 50 percent for general catalog students. An induction interview was conducted by our principal to understand the family background and goals of each student, before offering admission.

I was always interested in commercial subjects since school days, so it was already decided to join commerce stream. Each subject had two faculties, who were teaching the subject for all four divisions. Faculties were highly qualified and had a great command on their subjects. They were always open to students to solve queries and they had a quality of simplifying the topics. The exams were conducted four times with gap of three months. And our exam papers were tough in comparison of other colleges, but since the faculties were teaching in easy way, it was not difficult to pass the exam.

The fee structure was not very expensive and was overcharged. No fee hike was seen during my academic period of 5 months. No campus recruitment was available in college. I haven't applied for any scholarships, financial assistance or job.

MD student fest is conducted every year in the month of January. A dedicated library is available for students. The library has a collection of all education-related books. College also giving books to students for a week to study. Normal big classroom with big windows for better ventilation and natural air and light. The classroom were specious. Our college was participating in various sports, but college was mainly popular for no.1 inter-Mumbai ranking in kabaddi. The college has a dedicated Sports ground for students.a Facebook group is created by ex-students.
