Remarks

The college had faculty of high caliber during 2008--09 and in 2009-10 some left the school. The school is managed by Sanjay Padode who is chairman of Dalal Street magazine.

Entrance Preview

MAT 500+ . I opted for this college as during my time this was the best college for my score, excellent faculty and management.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is in line with what the current industry demands. W had trimesters which meant we went through a lot of subjects. Also some faculty used to give us a feel of how our knowledge could be put in the corporate world. One could select from a variety of subjects in the second years. I had selected majority of Finance Subjects, some Operation Management Subjects and some HR Subjects.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college provides internship. There is an option of pursuing research internally with any of the faculties. Overall the stipend provided for internship was in the range of Rs 7000 to Rs 10,000.

Placement Experience

0.5

Placements is very poor in our school, the reason behind this is poor management of corporate relationship by the placement team. The recruitment head acted more like a broker, if somebody would get placed he would ask for costly liquor. There was a company named Orchid Pharma which was to come for placements, which was offering a good package and good profile. The company did not turn up and there was no justification on the reason. I was aiming for that company which would fetch me Rs 6 lakh per annum. However i had to get placed on my own and i started at a salary of Rs 1.8 lakh per annum.

College Events

2

We used to have annual day, CSR meets , Industrial Forums, Almuni meet,Graduation Day and Farewells. The college used to spend a lot on making the events very lucrative. We had events where high profile corporate people used to visit our college. We used to have annual day, CSR meets , Industrial Forums, Almuni meet,Graduation Day and Farewells. Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at our time was Rs 6 lakh per annum. It was more on the average upper side. A lot of people had availed loean to pay their fee's. Recently the fee's has been hiked to Rs 10-12 lakh per annum. The fee structure at our time was Rs 6 lakh per annum. It was more on the average upper side. Fees and Financial Aid

There were scholarship's for people who scored well in CAT exams. There were few in our school who were benefited from this facility.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio at our school was around 1.5 : 1 that is boys to girls. For extracurricular activities we had tt. Most of the students belonged to the middle level income group. Majority of the students stayed in hostel. There was no politics in the atmosphere of the school.

Alumni/Alumna

Though Almuni network had become weak for some period, efforts have been made by few Almuni's to make the network strong again. I never used to attend any Almuni event, however recently the Almuni group organised a diwali event in a lavish open restaurant.

Exam Structure

Days were hectic as we had to spend a lot of time at the campus. However it was fun being at the school as there was continuous learning. It was not all hectic we used to get some time to play tt and hangout at cafe's and eating joints, spend time discussing different topics of common interest.

Admission

MAT Entrance exam clearance Followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The personal interview was pretty though for me as my graduation percentage would not help, however i succeeded in winning their confidence in me. Topic for group discussion was , when a man see's his barrier he tends to break it.

Faculty

3.5

The time i joined the college we had highly qualified faculty who were most from IIM'S and IIT's, that was in 2008. However by time our course ended some faculty moved out of the school. It was a bittersweet experience. If only the faculty would have been involved in the recruitment process we would have definitely landed up in the best of jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

- curriculum specially for BA is not like how you see in other universities it's a comprehensive curriculum where your also studying subject like AI learning, data analysis, regional languages and so much more it is a comprehensive course which is not only focusing on your major but also on an overall development of you as a student.. - well we are not only getting in-class lectures but we also have a internal component of internship every year which helps us get an experience of real world situations and job market. -There is one course called numbers we have that could be improved it basically talks about mathematical in economic applications numerical implications particularly which has not been given more thought on it could be more elaborated and structured well. - frequency is high and difficulty is moderate usually.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Remarks:

I liked the course provided by this college. The subjects are different for every semester and the aura is splendid. This college provides a very good faculty which not only is good at keeping up with academics, but also is great in keeping a good rapport with their students. There is a whole variety of extra curricular activities which brings out the core personality of every student. I for a fact, had stage fear. But after I chose MIC, I really started getting over it.
