The institute being a Autonomous institute fully owned by the state Govt of Maharasthra, has a Board of Management nominated by the Govt. of Maharashtra. The Chairman of the BoM is a renowned industrialist Mr. Sunil Raythaththa from Jalna and is having a vision of taking this institute at another height. The other members are also industrialist and are playing a vital role in leading this institute on a right technical path of progress.

The institute provide the option for its CET for UG, GATE for PG and PhD Entrance Test PET by the SRTM University i took GATE examination conducted by IITs I scored 21.30.

The course is well designed and all the aspects of research are thought of carefully the classroom teaching for guiding the course work subjects is conducted according to the schedule. It also includes the technical subjects pertaining to the research area.

The MoU with many research organizations and industries in and outside the country are allowing us to apply for the internship. Many of our student friends have completed their internships at IITs and a few are pursuing their research work at foreign universities like UTP Malaysia. The students of SGGS are supported with the stipend according their admissions under the programs such as QIP, TEQIP and Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme etc. The stipend is given as per the norms of funding agency of Govt. of India. Overall, all the students are happy about the research facilties, expert guidance and encouraging research environment and culture of the institute.

There is almost 100% placement of all the eligible students of UG as well as PG students. The companies like TCS IBM from the IT fields and many other companies for Mechanical Civil Electrical and Textile Engineering are visiting the institute campus annually for recruitment of Graduate as well as post graduate students from final year. The training and placement department also conducts the different traing programs to enhance the skill set of the students.

The annual social gathering "Pragya" encourages all the students to participate in cultural activities. The annual Sport week is celebrated apart from from many department wise tournaments for encouraging the sports activities. The institute organizes inter-college tournaments on a huge and well managed play ground of the institute. All the extra ordinary students are encouraged and sponsored for the events at University, State and National level. There are many active clubs of students for Music, Robotics, Innovations etc.

The mideterm examinations are conducted in the middle of each semester so that students can understand whether they have learned enough or not. It becomes very easy for teachers to assess the progress of the students and according the remedial actions are initiated. The final semester examination is conducted according to a predefined calender of events which is published at the beginning of every academic year. The results are declared earliest possible and the failed students are given with the second opportunity for improvement. As far as these all examinations are concerned, the fee structure is feasible and worth of what we get from the institute.

The institute offers 25 scholarships every year from its own funds for the needy students. The fees can be paid on the installment basis, with a prior permission from the Hon. Director.

The campus is lush green and secure. All the girls and boys are able to enjoy many public places in the college. The life at SGGS Campus is really enjoyable. Extracurricular activities are organized on regular intervals. Institute has state of the art laboratories with ultra modern equipments. Many labs are funded by DST FIST and some other funds. Center of Excellence in Signal and Image Processing is a renowned research lab of NPIU, MHRD, Govt of India. The institute has its own Center of Excellence in Metal Forming the Robotics club organizes the competitions on regular basis.

The hostel facilities for both girls and boys are comfortable. The campus is lush green and secured. There is a separate girls hostel with more than 600 capacity at one place and another 100 capacity at second place. A newly constructed Boys Hostel accommodates around 500 students of UG course. There is separate Hostel for PG students with 200 capacity. Separate guest houses are there to accommodates parents of the students. There are options for college mess and canteen so that students can have a change.

The SGGS IE&T is playing a vital role in joining the Alumni spread across the globe. Every year the Alumni meet of passed out batch completing 25 years is celebrated in college campus. Apart from this, the Alumni meet at USA, Dubai, Pune and many other places are conducted.

There was an advertisement in almost all daily news papers for the post of "Research Scholars" willing to pursue research at Ph.D. level. All the applications were scrutinized for eligibility criteria published on the website of the institute. The personal interview of the selected candidates was conducted to finalize the list. The shortlisted candidates were asked to join the institute and discuss the research interests with faculty members of the institute for matching the interests.

All the PhD supervisors are highly qualified, experienced and down to earth teachers who are guiding their students in a proper direction. All the supervisors are genuinely interested in research work and are trying to bring this research for the well being of the society and accordingly the MoU with many research organizations and industries in and outside the country are signed.
