Remarks

Before this, I applied for Bsc in applied botanical science in D.E.I, Agra and within 15 days of joining I left the college as I was not at all satisfied with my course. After this, I got to know about GLA University while searching for the college's that has Bsc Honour's in biotechnology. I did a thorough study about this college and I was very amazed at the facilities they are providing. First, talking about the admission procedure. You have to first register yourself for free on the gla website soon after this you'll receive a call from the admission department and they'll answer all the doubts you have and will give you a detailed account of the college. You are then asked to give an admission test at the admission office ( you can choose any office as per your preference). You should have a minimum of 50% in 12th to appear for the test. If you have successfully cleared the test with a minimum of 60% then you are eligible for admission. And undergo further processes.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because this is a growing field and in upcoming years it will provide vast job opportunities. GLA is the only college in UP that is providing this course. And all the faculty members have a PhD degree with immense knowledge in this field. Since many are not aware of this field so the student's number is not more there are around 50-60 students in each class. According to my, it's an advantage because this way teachers pay a lot of attention to every student equally. Every class and labs are well equipped with projectors, Computers and AC so the teaching is quite fun and interesting. Some teachers provide notes through hard copy and some give ppts and PDFs. All the questions in the exams come strictly from these notes and whatever is taught in the class. Exams are held twice each semester. The difficulty level of the exam is neither too hard nor too easy. If you have paid good attention in class then you can pass easily.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

College does not provide internship opportunities so for that you have to do outside the college. However, the college provides training programs wherein you are alloted different topics and you can do your research on that particular topic and write a research paper. You are also provided with a training certificate that enhances your resume.

Placement Experience

4.5

GLA University is well known for its placement. As soon as you reach your last semester you are eligible to sit on placement drives as per the company criteria of attendance and percentage. Companies from all over India come for recruitment including Microsoft, TATA, Amazon, Wipro etc. 2100+ placements are offered with the highest package of 32 LPA. 75% of students are placed every year from each course and the percentage increase every year. I am currently sitting in placement drives for my recruitment.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is divided as 1st year 87,000/- INR, 2nd year 89,000/-INR, 3rd year 91,000/-INR, You can pay it in 2 instalments too but then you have to pay an extra 1500/- INR. The scholarship opportunity is provided to the students whose parent's annual income is below 2 lakhs. Wherein they are provided with an allowance of 50% of the total fees. Campus placement provided by GLA is from renowned companies with fancy packages, above 2 lakhs annually.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many fests organized by students for the students like biotech awareness weak, srijan, tech fest, DJ nights, every month different departments organize different workshops and events in which students from different universities participate. University also organises sports events like cricket match, the basketball match, football, table tennis, badminton, kho-kho and many more. Campus Life is quite fun as campus is well equipped with football ground, basketball court, Cricket field. Each sport has a different ground or field of there own wherein you can play without any interruption. Each department has there own library and there is also a central library where you can find each and every book of your choice. All the library are fully air conditioned and are open 24/7 so you can sit and read whenever you want to, you just have to show you college id. Classrooms are also well equipped with 2 AC's in each classroom and with good wooden furnitures and are quite big.

Other Applied Colleges

According to me you should choose Brahmanand College but as I wanted more practicals then theory work but it is not like that here because you get more time to study and practicals were less .Exams' timings were sometimes morning, afternoon so you will have to manage yourself accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd rate the curriculum 4/5. Topics like programing and data structures are super relevant.it prepares us for tech roles, but could include more hands on projects and industry tools. More focus on emerging tech like Ai /ML would be awesome. Exams are semester wise and okay.areas for improvement: internships, coding challenges, and guest lectures from pros. Solid foundation overall !

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the faculty teachers and all the staff was very good and the faculty teachers of the science were very fabulous in education causes me to choose this course... The curriculum here was in terms of social interaction was ok but it was not that good for the future real world academic pursuits as their were not that much activities for the social appearance... In terms of course curriculum and teaching method this college doesn't need much improvements because it is much better according to teaching method , as the teachers were good in terms of teaching... The timing and frequency was having much gap between one semester exam and the other semester exam , so there were not much difficulty in giving exams according to my perspective...
