Remarks

My college is ranked 23rd by NIRF and is a government college. The highest package in our department is 11 LPA and the fee structure is too low. The companies that participate in the placement drive are Wipro, CISCO, Tata Motors, Accenture and many others. So, these were the reasons which changed my mind and I took admission into this college. However, to take admission, I filled the application form in April with all the details and an application fee of Rs. 600 in online mode merely. Based on the score obtained in undergraduate and management entrance test i.e. CAT, I got shortlisted for GD and PI rounds. Further, I turned up for selection procedure round where my performance was good and I got admission offer letter lastly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Since, my college follows semester system, so there are 4 semesters in MBA program in total. The course curriculum comprises of the subject like organizational behaviour, financial management, management information systems, macro economics, decision models in management and so forth. Apart from that, summer internship and business research projects are the most important part of course curriculum. In this, faculties plays significant role as they bestow us with both conceptual as well as laboratory knowledge. They share their experiences of industries and the changes that are introduced therein. Also visiting faculty comes to endow us with lectures and enhance our personaly, soft skills, and other skills. Also, they help us in recognising the problems that might occur further while working in the business sector and give the solutions for it. So overall, I can say that both course curriculum and faculties of our department are best.

Placement Experience

4.5

The total number of companies that visit our college every year is more than 133. The top recruiters include Accenture, Bosch, Tata Motors, TESCO, Vedanta, Deloitte, Federal Bank, CISCO, Citi Bank and others. Besides, the highest package offered last year was 11 LPA and the average package was 7 LPA. Further, there are 35 partners organisation who offer internship program. The alumni of our college are in different sectors like Marketing, IT/ITes, manufacturing, consulting, BFSI, FMCG and others. Moreover, after completing my MBA program, I have decided to join an organisation first and then I will decide what to do further.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for MBA program in my college is 40 thousands for a semester and that for two years it is 1.6 lakh in total. Further, our college also provide scholarship opportunity to those belonging to SC/ST category and minorities from the state or non-Keralites. Moreover, for the merit based scholarship, SC/ST category candidates can apply but only if they have acquired 50% in their undergraduate and their annual family income must be less than 2.5 lakhs. However, those applying for merit based scholarship won't have to pay any amount as tuition or other fees. Also, one who belongs to unreserved category but their family income is less can apply for educational loan.

Campus Life

4.5

Since the campus of my college is good, it is obvious that the life herein will be amazing for sure. There are so many facilities provided here including library which is well stocked with books, journals, magazines, research papers, case studies, and study materials, multi-cuisine canteens, sports complex for both indoor and outdoor games, WiFi enabled service, and other such facilities. Apart from this, there are so many activities which is conducted among which I like more are business quiz competition - Paritah, Photography Competition - 'Vidyut', marketing event - Mantra, treasure hunt - Dhanaadhikrith and more others. And due to all these events which are conducted oftenly, my campus life is dynamic and thrilling.

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
