The admission process was simple. As I enrolled in the year 2020, due to the pandemic I took admission through online mode. I filled out the admission form for which I was charged 1000 Rs. Afterwards, a counsellor called me and solved all my queries regarding the admission. He then provided me with the Neft details of the university for the fee submission. After the fee submission I received my admission letter in a pdf form and also a hard copy. A mentor was assigned who provided me with my login credentials for the Chitkara Chalkpad portal.

I was interested in software engineering so I opted for Computer Science and Engineering course. The faculty here is amazing. They make sure a student faces no difficulty throughout the course. I love the 1 on 1 mentoring system of this college. The mentors help us out even with the slightest of inconveniences. The teaching system here includes regular exams. We have our formative assessments, sessional tests and end-term exams. The exams and tests are so regular that as in the time for our end term exams the students are fully prepared and the syllabus doesn't pile up.

All companies coming for placements first offer the internships like Hike z Oyo, Gojek etc. And major roles are software developers, Full stack developers, data analysts etc. My university offers specialisation courses in the 6th semester to get hands-on practice experience on industry level work.

The placements at my university are really good. For batch 2019 over 500 students were successfully placed. The highest placement package was 29.63 lacs per annum. There were over 50 international offers. Top recruiters included Genpact, Tech Mahindra, Honda, hp, Flipkart, Accenture, Infosys, KPMG, Toshiba, Quick Heal, EY, Coca Cola, Hero, Ericsson, Adobe, iGate, Sapient, Vodafone, Cognizant etc.

The fee structure here is affordable as compared to other engineering institutions. For the first semester, they charged INR 92,000 and afterwards for every semester the fee is INR 82,000. The university also provides us with various kinds of scholarships and financial assistance.

Being a pandemic student I haven't actually seen the campus life myself. But the clubs and competitions that I've been a part of are really amazing. I am a member of the theatre club, debating society, IEEE, promoting team and member of NSS. The faculty and seniors are really supportive and they make sure that we learn new things. The university has an abundance of sports and extracurricular activities. Sometimes it's even difficult to decide which one to opt for and which one to drop. The cultural clubs are really amazing.
