Remarks

Apart from bad college life only South Indian faculties and too much discipline about boys and girls getting close to each other vit is a good place to be.

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE:- 165(mains) and 97(advanced), BITSAT:-297, VITEEE:- 25050(rank) I opted for this college because my XII marks weren't that good, and I wasn't getting computer science in any good college then this one.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

VIT is increasing its research work and publishing more and more about it every year. The academic system here is very strict but covers all the aspects required to groom a student's intellect and personality. First years aren't involved in research works, so for us, it's more focused on books and e-learning.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, VIT provides internships but to 3rd-year students. on being a first-year student I don't have an adequate amount of information and don't want to share any false info.

Placement Experience

4.5

VIT has a high placement records multinational companies like Accenture, Flipkart, Myntra, Microsoft, Wipro, Zomato, etc have come to vit and employed students with a reasonable package, the average package for Computer Science and Engineering in VIT goes around 400000-500000.

Fee Structure And Facilities

VIT has its own way of taking donations. it has divided its seats into 5 categories and as a category, no increases so does the fees from 2,00,000 to 5,00,000 but still, people who couldn't fill these seats can get admission here by entering the NRI quota.

Fees and Financial Aid

VIT gives scholarships to students who scored VIT rank under 20,000 it has collaborations with INDIAN BANK which provides student loans.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

VIT's 50% campus is covered by boys hostel there are 2 types of rooms AC and non AC later these rooms are further categorized to 1,2,3,4,6 bedded rooms quality of rooms is satisfying not too bad neither the too good quality of mess food is same as you'll find in any other colleges there's not much to say about it.

Alumni/Alumna

It's an anti-ragging college. there's a lot of senior-junior interactions happening all day. we play with them, even study with them. from the second year onward you have to select which course you have to study, so it's more likely that a 3rd year may also choose the same course and sit with you in a lecture.

Admission

At first, after rank declaration there is a counseling procedure student has to report there with hi/her parents. But I went there alone due to some personal reasons. I had my IIT JEE on the 22nd counseling on 23rd and BITSAT on 24th so it was a very exhausting trip.

Faculty

3

This is one thing where my college lags most of the faculties here are Localities that is they are mostly South Indians. So we (North Indians) don't understand their accents and find it difficult to communicate with them. Though the teachers here are very helpful and they try everything in their pockets to help us solve our problem but still, the problem still arises.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
