Remarks

I did my graduation from Jammu University itself so I was familiar with the environment and the people and thus applied here for the MBA and got in. The minimum eligibility is to get 50% in graduation. After that the admission itself depends on CAT percentile. Jammu University has the number 1 MBA Program in our state as ranked by India Today so I was very happy.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My curriculum is very good, pretty hands on. We study a lot of the IIM case studies and are encouraged to think for ourselves. Our faculty is also very good and helpful, the answer all our queries and more. I couldn't ask for more.

Placement Experience

3

I would say the placements for my course here is pretty decent. More than half of our seniors this year were placed with a salary package of around 3 to 5 LPA. I saw a lot of top tier companies too - HDFC, ICICI, IDFC, Byju's and Practo visited the campus. Most of my batchmates and I also got pretty good internship opportunities in different companies like HDFC, JK Bank, Byju's, Coco-Cola and such with a decent stipend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My fees for two years comes to about Rupees 140000. I am not very sure about the exact figure though but I know that my first year fees were around 70000. There are scholarship opportunities of course, but I do not qualify for any so I do not really know how to apply and the rest. But our seniors are very helpful or I am sure a trip to the administrative building would do it.

Campus Life

4

I love spending time on campus, we do most of our group projects outdoors. The weather here, naturally, is excellent and very accommodating for that. The canteens are good, we get nutritious food at affordable prices. There is also a very good juice stand on campus!

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well in terms of theory but weak in terms of practicality. The curriculum can be improved by adding some practical activities, which might give students real world experience.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more. The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen the course myself but this year due to NEP we had 7 subjects which is kinda difficult for us to study .only 2 subject are main that are major and minor rest changes as per semester, so last year my multidisciplinary subject was Geography in 1st sem and then Geology in 2nd semester. There must be some changes in course. 1. Shortage must not be 75% it becomes difficult for students . 2. Teaching method must have to be improved.. Colleges have a semester of 6 months, they give information in 1 to 2 months and after some time in the semester, papers start..they should give some more time for preparation. The difficultly level of exams are not much... kinda easy paper . In minor exams the time limit is one hour and in major 2.5 hour . Sometimes time is problem too ... As I'm humanities student and we hv to write in length but sometimes due to time shortage weren't able to write much contents but overall my experience in college was good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.
