AIEEE examination around 180-190, i scored in this examination.I got a rank of around 23k. With an OBC quota, i got a seat in Chemical Engineering this is one of the best ranked colleges in the country. So, i opted for it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well designed and it contains all the aspects that an engineer needs to have it covers various concepts of engineering in depth and it matches with the curriculum of best universities of the world. You got scope for research and they are highlighted while teaching. But college doesn't have such great infrastructure for research.
Internships Opportunities
Only CSE, IT and ECE branch people get internships from college rest all need to apply their own 'JUGAAD'. So, people need to contact their seniors to get their training done in some reputed companies.
Placement Experience
In chemical engineering 80-90% of the batch gets placed in reputed companies if you consider a single year like batch of 2k16, 70-80% of the college gets placed many companies visit the campus eg: Maruti suzuki 6lpa, Vedanta 7.5lpa, EXL services 5.5lpa, Hindalco 4.8lpa, RIL 5.5lpa etc.
College Events
Technical fest is Avishkar . Happens during Dusshera month. People from various colleges participate. Its quite big but not in par with the IIT's. Cultural fest is Culrav. Happens during February month. This is also similar to the one described above. We got some sports fest even. But its not very big. Very few people tend to participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
No, its just fine for all the tuition fee, hostel fee, mess fee and your living expenses. All comes around 1 lakh per year but people from BPL category find it difficult. As some states don't provide scholarship for its students residing outside semester fee: Rs 23000, mess fee & hostel fee per sem:Rs 13000.
Fees and Financial Aid
Top five students(in a semester) get a merit scholarship of 5000 rupees for Loans, students need to contact banks and avail it on their own. College doesn't do anything from its side.
Campus Life
Campus life is the best. You are free to do anything. There is very less pressure on the student from the administration gender ratio is bad its around 10 boys to 1 girl. But its improving recently. For Extracurricular activities there are some clubs and there are annual events for technical, cultural and sports activities.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel are okay. You cannot expect a royal life. But its manageable. There are no power cuts. If there are any, you got a generator backup. Students are given LAN connection, that's sufficient to answer this i think mess food is below par. Being from south of India, I found it even more difficult to survive in there, with that kind of food.
Alumni/Alumna
Every one is supportive. You are free to contact alumni any time. You can connect with them in Linkedin, Facebook, Gmail etc. There are facebook pages for our alumni even.
Admission
Though AIEEE Examination there are altogether 5 rounds of counseling process in first 3 rounds if you get a seat, You need to claim it by reporting to the nearest NIT. For me its warangal. If you are not satisfied with your seat allotted. You need to surrender it, to continue for 4th and 5th rounds of counseling if you are satisfied, you need to report to the respective institute within the time given and claim your seat.
Faculty
The faculty is quite good. Chemical Engineering being a new branch in MNNIT, got room for improvement. But the faculty is helpful, understanding and always available for you. But you don't have scope for research in MNNIT on a large scale as there are little funds available. So its tough to get equipment for research.
