Intership and placement

The criteria for admission was >45% in 12th. And based on sittee exam marks. According to sittee( exam conducted by symbiosis institute of technology ) exam marks the seats for different departments are allocated. Like first computer science branch was filled then IT branch. There are 2 other ways also to get admission in this college ie through IIT mains and the Maharashtra state exam.

I choose this course because I am interested in both hardware and software stuff and this department provides with a great platform to explore and learn them. The faculty is mostly PhD qualified but 60% of faculty will always be a headache for students but it is also good in one way. And the remaining 40% is cool and try their best to not pressurise students. Exam is conducted like final after ever 4-5 months and for internals can very like in 2 months or within one month only.

Vodafone: According to my this company select the largest number of students from the electronics department. Microsoft: This company also come for recruitment purpose but it selects almost 1-3 students only. Not more than that. Other companies like Tata motors, Novoosoft, Forbes marshal also visit college but I don't have much idea how then recruit and all. But the basic requirement of all companies for sitting in the interview is above 60% in 10th,12th and college. The student is eligible for applying for placement and internship in the 4th year. Some companies recruit for placement and internship both simultaneously.

College actually tries best to bring companies for placement but some students are not eligible for placement shell criteria and some are not so skill full. In my department about 30-40% got placements. And average package is about 2.5-3.5 lpa. Like last to last year the highest from my department was 13.5 lakhs by Microsoft or some other company. I don't remember exactly. In short it's very competitive to got placements here, not a easy task.

In case of fee, it is too much when you will compare with other private colleges. And ya some extra efforts then put but still not worth it as fee submitted. And not many scholarships are also not provided. Like in every department one individual gets 50% off in tuition fee, who tops that department.

Campus life is good, basically, it's totally on you how you make it. Ya sports events will be conducted but then don't have a good field like football ground is like foot sole ground in length. But The infrastructure and all are epics not of my college but in its surrounding XD. The geographical location is dam cool. And u can also utilise things from other colleges of this university. Its social life is amazing if you have good friends. Aarambh, techfest, prota are some activities which are conducted in a year.

The hostel room is 3 sharing, so you have to share with other 2 fellows but it is nice and good space. Each room has its own bathroom and washroom. But it is limited so if you are thinking of a hostel, apply fast for it otherwise you will regret it. The meal was like 5 days good but 2 days poor. So you have to arrange that from swiggy or other places. The registration process is some paperwork after booking your seat in this college.
