I took VITEEE which is conducted by VIT. And I scored 7082 ranks in the entrance test. I opted for this college because of one of the highly reputed and top colleges in INDIA.

VIT stands top in the research curriculum. VIT offers 25 UG,30 PG, 4 Integrated programs, and 4 Research programs. The course structure is very helpful to students to gain knowledge in both theories as well as practical knowledge. There will be University core, program core, University electives, and program electives which give the maximum of assessment to students to gain knowledge.

As per the academics in VIT, there is a compulsory course or prerequisite to do an internship according to the students' program.

VIT holds the national record in Slot-1 placements (Software Services Companies) for the past 5 years.VIT has entered into Limca Book of Records thrice for the highest number of campus placements done from a single Institution by a single company: 2009 (TCS-1075), 2011 (Cognizant-1643), 2012 (Cognizant-1820). Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, De Shaw have recruited students with a package of more than 10 lakhs per annum. Companies like Flipkart, Intel, Akamai, Cisco, Yahoo, Oracle, Google, KLA Tencor, Dolcera have recruited the students with packages of more than Rs. 7,00,000 per annum. To add to the list; Reliance Industries, Reliance Power, Tata Power, Tata Bluescope Steel, Crompton Greaves, Renault Nissan, Hyundai Motors, Ashok Leyland, Delphi, Cummins, Essar, Tata Consulting Engineers, Malco, etc., are some of the core companies that visit the campus every year.

In a year there are 1 cultural and 1 technical event being conducted. Where the cultural fest called RIVIERA which is an annual international sport and cultural carnival. And the technical fest call Gravitas is an annual technological and design carnival.

As per my year of admission, 1.5 lakh per annum for academics and hostel ranges from 60000 to 1.1lakh (including mess charges). As of now, VIT is offering scholarships based upon the rank at the time of admission. For 1 to 50 ranks 75% of the fee waiver for all 4 years. 51 to 100 ranks 50% for 4 years.100 to 1000 ranks 25% for 4 years.

The campus life of VIT is very environmentally friendly. There is no gender discrimination in any aspect. The diversity here is vast because students across 50 countries stay here. The campus has a Big outdoor stadium, a football ground, 2 gymnasia. And every hostel building has a badminton court. Here in VIT, there are many clubs, chapters, creation labs, teams which are all a part of extracurricular activities. There are some automotive clubs where they participated in international events.

23 hostels are located on the VIT campus. There are 17 Men's Hostels, which accommodate 13000 students in single, double, Three, four bed, and six bedded rooms. A gym facility is also attached with a well maintained swimming pool. The 6 Women's Hostels have room for 4300 students. Women students have access to gym facilities and a newly built swimming pool inside one of these hostel premises.

VIT alumnus is a place where passed out students are remembered. Seniors in our college are helpful in every experience we come across. As they had the best time here in VIT.

There will be two internals in a semester i.e CAT-1 & 2. To understand the concept of courses CAT 2 will be conducted as an OPEN BOOK TYPE examination. And three quizzes and an assignment. As per the courses, there will be a lab if required. According to a normal course, there will be 3 theory classes and a lab weekly. For the lab, there will be a midterm and termed.

First of all, we need to apply for VITEEE. And we need to score rank in this entrance examination. With the rank you hold, VIT conducts counseling based on the ranks. A maximum of 3 counseling phases will be conducted. The 1st phase of counseling can give you the opportunity to select your desired branch.

In VIT there are highly qualified faculty. VIT offers 25 UG,30 PG, 4 Integrated programs, and 4 Research programs in which faculty has very interest to teach to students. Over 1600 faculty are here in VIT. Faculty here in VIT are very co-operative, friendly to help students in all ways.
