Remarks

Campus Life: Brilliant, vibrant, beautiful extra-Curricular Activities: a whole lot and just awesome events: Right from cultural to technical to fun you get to taste everything students: From all parts of the country and some abroad students as well. Half of them are dudes or wanna be dudes Hostels: I think VIT has the best hostels, clean, spacious. Wardens are friendly. The mess is messed up anyway. Sports: A lot of sports opportunities like Tennis, Cricket, Badminton, TT, Football, Track events, Basketball, etc. Although I never played them and I regret it now. To sum up, the best thing about VIT is that everything is very good apart from Academics in terms of personality development, exposure, and overall growth from a student to a professional.

Entrance Preview

JEE MAINS, but my board percentage was not that good to get into nits. Also, I only wanted Computer Science, So I chose VIT University.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is like, we have Program cores, then university electives and program electives we have a credit-based system for B.Tech we have to complete 186 credits including Soft Skills 20 credits are for the final year project 2 credits for the extra curricular activities 2 credits for an internship they follow the old curriculum and is not much different from other universities. We have to study one foreign language as such.

Internships Opportunities

As far as I know, college doesn't provide internships as such. If you're working on some of the VIT's projects for eg. the VIT website or something like that, then we can say that yes VIT provides internships for that stipend depends upon the work you're doing mostly 5k.

College Events

4

Tech Fest: GraVITas Gravitas is the technical fest over here. More than 100 colleges participate in the fest and are conducted in the last week of September. The technical festival is spread over 3 days with over 100 events, 50 workshops with over 30,000 footfalls RIVIERA: Reliving the era (Cultural fest) the cultural fest is ranked 5th best fest in India. This is conducted in the first week of February It is known to hold more than 100 events in the fields of dance, music, literary arts, fine arts, and debates, and this year Riviera celebrated 100 years of cinema in India. The debating competition has students from all over the country participating and Star Night at Riviera is famous and attracts a huge crowd.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for the first category students i.e; who secured a good rank in VITEEE for others it might be expensive we have categories over here like 1st category is the cheapest the tuition fee starts from 1.5lpa for BTech(as far as I know) also, the hostel fee structure is pretty good special mess charges: 50000/year.

Fees and Financial Aid

As per I know top 10 ranker of VITEEE receive some fee wavier also if you are branch topper you will receive some scholarship.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

In special mess in VIT, they serve both veg and non-veg north-Indian food. Non-veg is served in lunch on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun along-with veg. You get 2 glasses of juice, omelet/boiled egg, cornflakes in breakfast every day which is not given in other mess. And most importantly, you will get a very small-sized sweet dish every day in lunch(quantity=1) and one seasonal fruit in dinner. They also serve tea/milk/coffee in breakfast, evening snacks, and dinner.

Alumni/Alumna

We don't have as such any alumni network but the seniors are in touch and help in every possible aspect they can be it referring for internships, be it any other domain.

Exam Structure

We have CAT exams similar to midterms that are held twice a semester max marks are 50 for CATS. And then we have 3 quizzes of 5 marks each and an assignment of 5 marks then if the subject is having an embedded lab, we have lab exams as well we have 2 lab CATs per semester weight-age: 15 marks, and then we have term ends. LAB and Theory separately for Practical based learning, we have midterms and the Term ends with a project.

Admission

VITEEE is the entrance test that you need to give. They select students on the basis of the rank they get and the fee is according to the category you get the admission. NRI candidates are also eligible to apply for VITEEE, apart from applying through direct NRI form the counseling held in VIT Vellore and Chennai campus you need to pay by DD.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties over here are very knowledgeable they have at least a master's degree some faculties are very friendly. But some are very strict. Be it attendance or marks faculties here work along with students in research papers and publishing journals they help students if they feel someone is doing really great with the academics.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
