Remarks

I always wanted to be a part of Delhi University and I really went to various colleges and reserved my seats in different colleges but the north campus was my priority and my parents wanted girl's college so we went into Lakshmibai college and I had the course options English honors and political science honors as per my score that was 90% only so I went with political science honors and I met a wonderful staff teacher who helped me ease the admission process and gave me a college tour.

To be really honest the best thing I love about Lakshmibai college is its staff and faculty members. Teachers are the best and everyone be it administrators or peon or security guard to medical room person every help you with love. I was new to college instead of asking students I asked teachers and I was surprised as they just made me feel comfortable and guided me a lot for the course and how to function well in college and which room is which and everything.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are done under a teacher sometimes or when she recommends us to someone or some organization. Then the college has internship fairs where you need to interview and get your place yourself. Certain projects were given like content writing, social media marketing, digital marketing, Human Resources, and many more.

Placement Experience

From the last semester that is the sixth semester a person becomes eligible for job placement and there are many job fairs that are done in college for the same. Teachers guide us too to interview in certain organizations. Many companies visited the campus, coca-cola, Infosys, etc, and certain NGO organizations too.

Fees and Financial Aid

It's a Delhi university college so fees are quite less but yes there are certain scholarships too. The college provides placements too and does internship fairs which is very beneficial. Fees are minimal and the accommodations and all and everything is good.

Campus Life

Lakshmibai is building its infrastructure every now and then and it has built up to be a fabulous college. The first-ever college to have a creche facility for the teachers to bring their children along with them. It has huge buildings and at the same time parks, auditorium, stage area, playfield, etc. The library is huge and loaded with books. There are many clubs to join and be a part of fests and festivities with film star arrivals.

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.

I applied to almost all colleges offering the course that i have chosen, i got confirmed admissions in majority of them, however I chose this college because of it's location, unique exposure and the faculty. However, some of the colleges I applied to rejected me too, as this course is highly competitive and very few colleges offer this course, I acknowledge that I am not the best and hence I lost my spot in those colleges. The admission process : - Sit for the cuet exam - Portal opens for admission to all du colleges after one or two months, register there. - Admission happens in three phases through the portal ? registration, making and submission of the preference list (course wise and college wise) and lastly the allotment. Interest in Business and Economics and getting a DU Degree is the only reason to go here in 2025.

There are only 10 colleges offering BBE in Delhi University. So, therefore, the course is high in demand. It is a professional course so the college is still in the process of adapting to a professional setting. I applied for all other colleges offering BBE in DU, and got admitted here via the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET). My preference was to go to Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce to pursue this same course, but the cutoff for the same is very high.
