Best of my life.

There was nothing bad bout Union christian College, Aluva. It is the dream college and the perfect campus for all types of people. I wish to study there again if there is a chance; so much is my attachment to this particular educational institution.

There were no entrance examinations here, and only the centralized allotment program by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam which was based on the marks scored during the previous course, BA English Language and Literature.

The course is very good, as there were interesting electives like Film Studies and novels along with poetry of different kind. Our college was one of the very few institutions which had these electives, and the teachers were particularly interested in making sure that these electives were used to the maximum advantage of the students following the course.

No, the college doesn't provide that. There is no such an option; maybe the university has something similar there. Individual colleges doesn't provide this in our state.

There were a few companies coming up, and most of them were related to the science courses. The job opportunities are usually from the outside as far as the arts courses are concerned. But some banks like South Indian Bank and Federal Bank were there, according to the reports, and some were placed in these firms too.

Union Christian College has many events concerning the students, and the campus itself was really colourful and green with a beautiful photogenic setting. The elections were the biggest events, and the college fest was also there - the seminars were frequently conducted, and we also went for a good number of seminars in other college. Many big personalities also visited our place.

As this is an aided college, the fee is really cheap. We never really had any problem concerning the same, and even if we were late in making the payments, the extra fine added were also very less. I am pretty sure that a lot of students wanted to be in this college, for this extra reason, along with the reason that it was one of the most popular colleges in Kerala, further popularized by the movie Premam.

There are scholarships for SC/ST students, but non otherwise. There are no loans here though as the fees was very less. Students could easily meet them with no trouble at all.

The college had more female students and less number of male students. Our class itself had eighteen girls and two boys. Our seniors had the same ratio and our juniors had seventeen girls and three boys. The same was the case with almost every known class, and even with more students, the degree classes had less male students. There were sports, debates and quizzes conducted too.

I never had to stay at the hostel as my house was nearby. But I have heard from many students that it was very good and cheap. The canteen is really good too, and there were some good options out there. The canteen had some nice tea, cutlet, and onion vada, which everyone needed to taste. Union Christian College is a perfect package and there is absolutely no doubt about that.

The seniors were really helpful, and always ready to help whenever there was a doubt. All the students and teachers were in touch with me even after we left the college. It was nice to know such wonderful people, and it was the best experience of my life.

The exam structure is good, but it is decided by the university. As the teachers are really friendly, they make sure that we are well-prepared for the same. Things are rather chilled out right there, as we never really had much trouble concerning anything. This was story throughout the course, and MA English Language and Literature was perfect.

The faculty were very friendly, and interested in bringing something extra outside curriculum each and every time. They were interested in making sure that the students get to use each and every option available. With each seminar and assignment, there was something special added.
