Remarks
1. In 2018, I gave the MAT exam and got 95 percentile, thereafter I remember I applied to LPU and Chitkara University. But the fee structure was not under my budget, so then I applied to THE BUSINESS SCHOOL JAMMU UNIVERSITY 2. I've scored 95% in MAT and for the admission purpose, it was mandatory to have min. 50% in your graduation and MAT/CAT. I didn't avail any sort of quota for admission. 3. As far as Mark's concerned, one should have completed his/her graduation with min. 50% and also score well in CAT / MAT. The higher the percentile higher the chances of selection. 4. Let's talk about the admission process. After submitting your documents, you'll get a mail from them for GD and PI in which the date and time will be mentioned. First, they will conduct your GD and then a personal interview and on the basis of your performance both academically and in Cat/mat GD/ PI, selection happens. if for some reason you didn't make it to the final list(60 students), then you can opt for the paid thing (3 lac)
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for MBA because I always wanted to. Talking about the faculty, I've studied under the guidance of the best people.. no doubt TBS has one of the best faculty in Jammu university.. talking about the student ratio. They only select 70 students and have two sections A and B.. each section with 35 students. Every semester they conduct mid-semester tests of 15 marks and in the end final exam and viva.
Internships Opportunities
I did my Internship in HDFC bank for two months. The stipend was rupees 10 thousand. My role during the internship was calling the customers and handling their grievances. My project was, " role of net banking'
Placement Experience
1. Campus placement starts in the middle of the 3rd semester. 2. ITC, SARVESHWAR, OPPO, AIRTEL, ICICI BANK, HDFC BANK ETC. 3. The highest package during my time was 7 lac and the lowest was 2.5 lac 4. 60% of students got placed 5. I also got placed in ICICI bank
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is very affordable, you can complete your MBA by spending near about 1,20,000. They also provide Campus placement and internship opportunities, however, the package is quite low. The average package the companies offer is most likely to be between 3- 4 lac, but you also apply off-campus so that's not the issue
Campus Life
1.Before 2018, the department used to conduct a fest called youtharva but it didn't happen for 2 years. Besides that, every year department conduct an alumni meet and a stimulation program, industrial visits, etc 2. Jammu university has one of the best libraries in jammu called " dhanvantari", besides that there was also a library in the department. 3. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and have projectors installed. 4. Cricket match, state-level quiz competition, display your talent, etc these events happen every year 5. NSS, ABVP
Interview Experience
I very clearly remember, they made 4-5 batches of 10 people and then one by one conducted GD. There were two professors also, they gave us the topic " ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND IT'S IMPACT" after that GD started, which lasted for 10 minutes. After that, the professors individually asked everyone about their viewpoint and one person to conclude the GD. After that, they conducted our PERSONAL INTERVIEW and asked very basic questions related to our educational background and why we want to do an MBA, what are our interests,, etc. However, preparation is very important before going for GD and PI. I took help from youtube and Google and prepared accordingly
