College Review

I was admitted to college through CAP round after diploma (Direct Second Year). The admission process was smooth they give me detailed information about my stream and college also. Percentage criteria and fees vary from castes. As I'm an SEBC student I paid 45000 for college fees. I also opted for the hostel. I had to pay 35000 for hostel fees including mess.

I choose computer science because I have an interest in this field. A faculty member of our streams is well qualified from colleges like IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur. Faculty not only focuses on the theory part but also gives practical knowledge of subjects. There are 2 exams are conducted every semester, Mid Term and End Term. Mid-term is of 30 marks and End term is 50 marks. And 20 marks are given by faculty according to students overall performance.

Alongside placement college also help students to get internship opportunities. The college has collaborated with many companies which provide internship opportunities to students. Students also get a good stipend for internships.

Students become eligible for the campus from starting of the 4th year. Students from streams like CSE, IT, and E&TC have more chances of getting placed. 70 to 75 percent student lands their dream job from placement. Companies like TCS, TIAA, HCL, RAJA LAB etc visits for placements.

College fees vary from student caste. open caste students have to pay 75k to 80k, OBC students have to pay 45k, and SC, ST students have to pay up to 5k. College provides scholarships from MAHADBT. College also provides the facility of Education loan. Many companies visited for placemat like TCS, TIAA, HCL, RAJA Lab.

Along with education college has different clubs for every sector. Some of the clubs are PRAGYAA, SANKALP, ZENITH, DRISHTI. The college has a library with a massive number of books. Along with educational books, the library has novels books, personality development books, literature books.

I opted for a hostel by paying Rs 35000 fees including mess. A separate hostel is present for boys and girls. The hostel has facilities like a washing machine, free wifi, working fans, heater and filtered water for drinking. And the best facility which I like is the common TV.
