Remarks

When I got selected through CAP round for this college, I saw reviews that said Datta Meghe College is best for civil engineering. College has long history regarding good civil engineering teachers staff. College is from 1988. Plus it shows there is good scope for BE Civil, from this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Cource Curriculum is not so updated. College is under Mumbai University so it follows the syllabus decided by University. Most of old civil engineering staff is very experienced, and most of time they appointed for semester paper setting. Now current HOD Mr. Radake sir is very good, he is trying really hard to give quality education to the students. Other new staff is average.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

At third year, DMCE civil engineering department gives you some good on site internship through their reference. Internships are totally Unpaid. But can get some good practical knowledge from them. Internships will be around for period of 1 month.

Placement Experience

0.5

Civil engineering course has almost no placement in this college. They have such huge intake for BE civil, but hardly 2-3 students get placed. If your batch is lucky, then maximum 15-20. Hardly 3-4 good companies visits college like Burns and McDonnell, Toyo etc. Placement criteria is very tough like your overall pointer should above 8. you should have no KT in your whole 4 years. So there is no chance of placement unless you are a university topper here. But other departments like BE comps/IT, they have very good placement. around 40-60% students gets placement in those branch at final year. College provides some good seminar regarding opportunity after graduation but that's all, you have to search job on your own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is bit a simple. If you comes under any category other than OPEN. You are applicable for state government Scholerships and freeships. College annual fee is around 101000 rupees for OPEN. For OBC/NT, 60000, For SC/ST 20000. If you are eligible for EWS, you can apply for 50% discount via goverment schemes.

Campus Life

2

College do not have any such great campus life. College do not any open space. its just like a commercial 11 floor office. now new building is also under construction. but no gardens, no open space for college. Once in year cultural programs happens, and a technical festival also happens. College do not take any great interest in co-curricular activities other than study. College Infrastructure is okkish. Good thing about college is there are many happening places like hotels are near college. plus railway station is on walking distance, so easy to travel to anywhere. College library is good but library staff is bad, they have no other work, so they just harass students by telling them rules continuously.

Admission

No. You can selected by CAP rounds via MHT-CET or JEE marks or if you do not have good score then you can apply for management seats by paying extra money. College cutoff is generally moderate. College has 5-6 engineering branches.

I am choosing this course because it is one of the best undergraduate courses for someone who doesn't get admission in engineering or other valuable courses. because we can manage our studies within this course and we also get a higher education in future.

Admission:

I am currently in the first year of my MBA course at AIBM university. The admission process was pretty straightforward and smooth. Students who have a Bachelor's degree can apply for admission in MBA programme. The eligibility is graduation with 50% + score of either of the five tests (CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, MAHCET) is considered. One should know that the final selection also depends on group discussions and personal interview rounds. The process is very much like any other MBA college only, and it starts with filling up an application online.
