My college

1) Reason for choosing this college - Because my college's Lab facility for mechanical engineering course is great with lot of skilled faculties.2) This is a private college so some of the faculties like director and principal are very strict.3) You have to be in proper dress code most of the time otherwise fine will be imposed although college doesnt have a uniform (Half sleeve shirts and pants(jeans not allowed))4) Admission process were smooth and was done on july 20165) Didn't referred any blog or forum because i have already know my college from my friends and family.

1) Mechanical engineering is a vast branch and we will get to know more about mechanical related stuff.Interested in learning mechanical activities thats why i preferred this course2) About 15-20 faculties will be there for managing a whole department and in the dept there will be students from 2nd-4th year. First year students will be in the administrative block. In department for each class having 45-50 students will be managed by mainly 2 staffs called staff administrative for that particular class3) Every faculty knows what they are teaching in depth. Most of the faculties are M-tech graduates some of them have also got Phds Our Head of the department is a highly skilled person and most of the classes were normal some will be by ppt presentation.4) Each semester will be about 4-5 months and you will be having mainly 2 series exam. We got 6 modules to learn form each subject. So first series exam will cover topics of first 3 modules and the second exam will cover remaining 3 topics and if you understand the concept of each module you can clear the exam easily.

Yeah i have done 5 days internship with KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) at attingal Depot. Got to know more about bus and bus services and all during this 5 days period of time and it was great opportunity. Other companies offering internships were keltron, Hindustan pvt limited and some of my friends done there project in HLL Lifecare Ltd.

I already mentioned placements are pretty average.Only few companies will be comming for placement and most of them are IT companies UST global, Speridian, Alliance, Byjus etc are the some examples. I guess byjus is the company which is having highest package about 45-50k per month and the avg package will be 10-15k per monthUsually when we are in 6th-8th semester we will be having campus placements and about 30-75 students are getting placements per year.Our college got a programme named Finishing school which is actually grooming process and prepare us for various interviews and at the end of the programme we will be having mock interviews. Honestly speaking this programme helped me a lot to clear the interview done by TCS as a part of campus recruitment and i am now working as a Assistant system engineer trainee in TCS.

1) Tuition fees for all the course is 75,000 per year and you will have to pay about 3Lakh for completion of the particular course.Other than tution fee there will be fee for utilising college busand for hostel fees2) There are not many scholarships available.The students who got great marks in the entrance exam will have a fees reduction. And students who are from backward community and poor financial background will also get some reduction in fees i guess and i dont remember any scholarships name3) Most of the companies comming to our college for campus selection will be IT companies like Speridian,UST global etc. Mechanical based companies will not be comming and i dont any job on campus with stipend. But now i am working in TCS but that was campus recruitment.

Campus life was great.First year was bit difficult for me to cope up with college atmosphere from 2nd year ownwards i enjoyed. We have got both annual and tech fest. Our annual fest is called Illuminati mainly conducted on november and its a cultural fest organised by students. Its a great platform to exhibit our talents. Students from other colleges can also be a part of our fest. Tech fest is called colloquium mainly conducted on march and this also organised by students.Tech fest includes lots of competitions including quizzes and all. Our library is filled with lots of books and journals lots of magazines. Other than journals and technical stuff got collection of story books and all.College also got both sports and arts day.For participating all the students are classified into 4 groups naming Ramanujan house, Baba house, Sarabhai house and Raman house. Students from each group have to compete with other students and individual winners will be there and the house which got highest point will be the overall champion.

No group discussions or interviews or written test were there for admission. The admission process were smooth and normal. After completion of the process we have to met our principal and director separately. They will check our mark and will evaluate us and will ask why we choose this course. This is actually not an interview just a casual but a bit formal discussion.
