Course Curriculum Overview

This course is a little tough as it contains both biotechnology and biochemical. But however it provides a great scope in the future and that's what influenced me to choose this course. The examination timings are a little miserable that we have no time for anything else whatever exam it may be .

Placement Experience

Our college provides the atmost highly knowing companies for the placement opportunities. As the students are exceptional here they are willing to guve a high amount as salary. Every department gets their own well known comapnies for the placement purposes.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I'm in the OEC category I'm provided with an e-grantz amount of 75000/- . But normally a merit student should pay this amount who doesn't avail any reservation. After considering the scholarship it may differ based on their previous percentages in the board exams.

Campus Life

The campus is super great . Even the students are really helpful as they have a helping mentality. The students itself probide free tutoring classes inside the campus so as to teach the students with backpapers .

Hostel Facilities

Bothe the men's hostel and the ladies hostel are right inside the campus itself. So there is no need to worry especially for the girls. The food is extra neat and also we can have our own menu . Many students in our college has opted for PG and there are a lot nearby.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

In Kerala this course is provided mainly in three colleges. Comparing with the academics and the transportation facilities this college is a great option for the students. Also they provide a strict curriculum.

Faculty

The faculties are really friendly towards the students. They show keen care to the below average students and also they provide extra classes for the students whi have back papers. Students are free to ask any doubts regarding the subjects.

Night Life

As I'm a hosteller , we have a curfew at ariund 6 30 pm as this area is a little remote. But during the college fests and all students are free to roam around inside the campus. They provide an indoor basketball court and an indoor badminton court for those who are interested ind sports. Also a gymnasium is there.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Is engineering here worth it?

MCET, a campus to be educated and to enjoy.

I didn't apply to any other college because our college is well known in our district and is one of the best private colleges in the state. And it was close to my home too so I never had to apply for another college. I didn't got rejected because I never applied. The student must qualify Keam which is the entrance exam for engineering and medical specific to the state of Kerala. Should have good and considerable marks on the exams of +2 also. Students can apply to the college after the ranking of Keam is published for merit seats. Can appear directly to the college for management and NRI seats too.
