My CMR uni Journey

I chose to study here because of the fees which was a bit cheaper when compared with other colleges here in Bangalore. The campus is 64 acre and has four campuses. It ranks 174 in NIRF ranking. The admission can be done through online mode. I first applied from the college portal for my preferred course. I then submitted my personal details including my 10+2 marksheets and transfer certificates including two passport size photographs and then paid an amount of rs 1000 as an application fee. I was then connected to a counsellor who further guided me for my admission. It was more like a personal interview and after which I was finally enrolled in for my classes.

In this course I had to study about HR management and its principles of management, Finance management and data management including topics like marketing and ethics of business were included. It was very interesting and our professors too were very experienced. We had six professors to conduct our classes. All the professors had a teaching experience of ten years. The exams were conducted on the basis of semester. We had to submit assignments as well, which was added in our external exams. We also had weekly vivas and class test.

The college does offer placements to its students. It has tie ups with more than 50 companies. Our top recruiters were, myntra, flipkart, amazon, accenture, Capgemini, Biocon and also banking companies like ICICI, HDFC come to the campus for recruitment.The average package starts from 3 lakhs p.a and goes upto 10 lakhs pa for MBA graduates.

The total cost to study here was Rs 3,30,000. We did not have the option of on campus job but we did have scholarships on the basis of need. It was based on merit as well. Then we also had leadership scholarships which was based on academics and sports or had good communication skills and leadership quality.

The campus organises, fresher welcome for the fresh batch. It is then followed by inter departmental events like talent hunt. It also has a fest known as Aviskar. It is very enjoyable with different colleges taking part in it. Events such as dance, photography, singing competition are conducted in it. last but not the least, farewell program and convocation day too was conducted.
