Remarks

The colleges i applied for were NITs, IIITs, BITS, and Nirma University. I was not offered the field of my choice (CSE) in any of these. The admission criterion for VIT Bhopal was over 75% in the 12th board marks and in 2020 due to the pandemic the University considered admission on the basis of the board and JEE marks as VITEEE was not conducted.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course based on my interest and the demand. All the faculty have a doctrate degree and are well qualified. They have different methods of teaching based on the requirement of the course and subject, as some are more practical and others more comprehension based and informative. The 1st year was rushed due to the late start because of the pandemic so the term exams were conducted almost after every 1 and half month.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 195000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies offer internships at the university with around 2000 students getting their internships from the college. The stipend average is around 12000. Internships roles are based on the student's courses.

Placement Experience

VIT Bhopal follows the FFCS (Fully flexible credit system) where if you finish the required amount of credits, you are eligible to complete your studies. The average package of the year before was around 9 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were dependent on the basis of the admission and the course you are applying for based on your rank and course availability. Scholarships and financial assistance is provided to the state board toppers.

Campus Life

Because of the pandemic, I have not been able to visit the campus yet. There still are events and competitions organised on online platforms. These Events are happening from time to time and are organised by tech platforms like Codecademy and coding ninjas. Other art-based events are also conducted online.

Placement Experience:

so in our college 1st year we have 2 semesters and n 2nd year we have 3 semesters and in 3rd year we have 3 semesters so 8 semesters already get completed and students are eligible to sit in placement from 3rd year . You can get internships in 3rd year as well if you have good grades and you are ready to grind . Talking about companies that visit for placements are Delloite , JP morgan Palo alto, De shaw and Co. My plan is to just have good gpa and get job asap

Placement Experience:

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.

Life at MITS , Gwalior

Placement Experience:

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. Average packages range from ?3.5 to ? 6 lpa , and some students get higher offer from off campus drives. Overall, the T&P cell of Mits gives every details for the companies coming.

other college i applied were vssut , jaypee noida , cutr, silicon but i choose vit bhopal because i wanted to study outside my state and bhopal was closer . So admission process is you have to give an exam called vitee and to get in to vit bhopal in category you gotta have rank under 45K to study in cse core branch and for AIML branch you need rank under 55K and for studying in Cyber security and cloud computing it should be under 70K . if you get anything above 70k its hard to land in a good cse branch under category 1 fees....Read More
