One has to give a national joint entrance examination and college is allotted to you according to your rank and choice. You may get done relive if you're from obc ncl, st , sc, pwd , etc. One can have three rounds of counseling where they get a chance to choose their desired college.

The Course lags behind because It's difficult for someone to excel in his choice of the department as one has to study every other dep. for eg whether you're interested or not, you need to do good in accounts to pass. Though it might seem useful in the future. But most of the Faculties of IHM Bangalore are excellent. And will groom and teach you well for future exposure. Exams are going to be easy if you even pay little attention in classes.

The internship is completely based on your merit but college names definitely help you get into good companies. You can definitely choose to go overseas but you have to make sure the duration of training is the same as ours and you get back here before the examinations start.

Campus placements are usually good. All good companies do make a visit. Whether it's for sale, retail, or hotels. Companies like Oberoi, Taj , ITC , Marriott , Starbucks, Arvind Fashions , Calvin Klein , Etc do come for hiring. But due to pandemics, the situation of placement isn't good at all.

Fees keep increasing every year as it's a Tier A city. Currently, it's around 3.5 lakhs for the whole course excluding accommodation. There is no scholarship but you can get financial assistance from banks or if the state government is providing some help for some categories it might be used.

College doesn't have any campus. It's just an old building in the center of the city. The library is good.. you can find good books. If you're planning to live the dream college life.. this might not be the college for you. No fest or anything like that isn't being conducted. You do have multiple clubs which organized multiple events for their members and the whole college.
