Entrance Preview

No entrance examination at that time. Admission was on the basis of 12 th marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course was quite elaborate. There was a project which required the children to really struggle to prove their capabilities.

Placement Experience

Placement was good. Companies like TCS, Lambent Technologies came . The package offered was around 2-2.5 lacs p.a

College Events

There were events like branch presentation, paper presentations, intercollegiate competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible. Payment seat was 50k p.a and merit seat was 14 k p.a.

Exam Structure

It was a semester pattern. So exams were with a view to get enough time for studies.

Faculty

Faculty was good. However sometimes the faculty was little too strict on matters apart from studies.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. College is too bad. There is nothing apart from studying and attending regular classes. College does not help in the transportation of students or staff coming from Nagpur. They do not help students who goes for pool drive in Nagpur. Time to enter college is last 9 pm and after that, they do not allow students to enter.
