My college experience

I chose to attend the college because it is close to the city hence there are good transportation facilities. I also had friends who studied in this college who were positive about the teaching fraternity. I was not disappointed too. The lecturers are very hardworking and ever ready to clear doubts even after classes. The fees are reasonable, given I was admitted because of my CET ranking. The admission process is hassle-free provided we carry all the required documents that have to be submitted. Another reason why I chose this college is beacuse it is affiliated with VTU, a prestigious university. Further information is available on the college website.

The course ECE catered to my interests. The faculty: student ratio is reasonable as most classes have about 47 students. The faculty is well qualified with atleast a Master's degree in their respective subjects. The teachers have adapted well to online teaching, making use of visuals and other means to make it easier for students to cope up with new teaching methods.

Students from the last year of BE (7th and 8th semisters) are eligible for campus placements. About 20 different companies like Infosys, Siemens, etc offer in-campus placements. The highest average package offered was 5 lakh/annum. About 40% of students get placed through campus placements.

The fee depends on whether they got in through the entrance exam quota or Management quota. The fee hike is about 5% yearly. Various scholarship for minorities (SC/ST/religious minorities) are available for students. There are a number of internship and placement opportunities available in-campus.

There are various fests like Cultural and Technical fests conducted annually. Cultural fests are held every even semester. These fests give the opportunity to students to display their artistic, technical and other talents including sports. The library is adept and regularly updated with books of the newer edition. Although the architecture and landscape of the college are not top-notch, all basic amenities like laboratories and library are present. Various sports and art clubs like Fashion and Volleyball are present.

I got my admission directly through KCET Enterance exam placements. These entrance exams determine the chances of getting admitted to the TOCE. There are 3 rounds of placement into the college via the KCET Entrance exam.
