There are many factors that made me choose my college. The two most important factors that helped me in making my decision of choosing my college were, firstly my college had all the courses available wich were in my wishlist and secondly the distance of my college from my house is approximately eight kilometers. My college has a lush green ambience as there are many trees inside the college campus and a beautiful garden, this not only makes the college beautiful but also freshens up the minds of the students. The mode of admission in my college was very simple and easy. First we filled up the online form mentioning the course we wish to choose and the marks we got in the Higher Secondary Examination. Few days after the end of form fillup date the college administration released the notification in which the counseling date and time of respective courses were given. Certain number of students from the top of the merit list were called for counseling. My counseling date was on 26th June 2018 and I got admission on 27th June 2018. Some negative aspects of our college is that sometimes there is delay in semester examinations and sometimes delay in the declaration of results. Sometimes there is lack of availability of certain books in the library. But overall my college is a good one and I am happy with my choice.

My course name is B.Sc Economics Honours. I chose the subject Economics because I feel that it would help me in my career goals. Being a Government exam aspirant especially a civil service aspirant economics helps me to get hold of a part of the examination syllabus. I get to learn how the economy at national level and at the international level works. It also helps us to know how trade at international level operates. In our college each course has its own department and different departments have different amount of faculty. Our Economics department has four faculty members or professors. Our professors are highly qualified and few of them are also P.HD holders. All our professors are gazzetted officers since our college is a government college so our professors are group A service office holders. Their way of teaching is simple and easy to understand. Since the class strength is only of eighteen students therefore one to one teacher and student interaction becomes very easy. Our course is a three year course and it is divided into six semesters each occurs after an interval of six months. Sometimes their is delay in the examination. The examination is taken by the university under which our college comes and the level of examination is a good one neighter too tough nor too easy.

Currently the placement department are placing various students to nearby companies, the placements are average and only provide job to local areas. Since its a degree college placement generally does not occur in our college, in recent years a few companies have placement our students but with very low pay packages. So my plans after getting the degree is to go for higher studies and also give government job exams. By going for higher studies I can not only increase my knowledge, skills and educational qualifications but also open up more job opportunities.

The campus life in our college is very vibrant. Each year many fests and events are organized in our college. The events organized in our college are of different types like sports, educational and cultural. Many seminars are held each year where professors of different colleges and universities interact with our college students. At the beginning of 2020 our one year Golden Jubilee celebration came to an end which was started in 2019, this was to commemorate the 50 years of our college. Each year Freshers function is organized in order to welcome the new students who have taken admission in our college. It is basically a cultural program. The annual fest that is organized in our college is known as Social. The social is organized for two days, it is a cultural fest in which different artists are invited to perform in our college. Annual exhibition is also organized in which all departments display their exhibition and on the basis of which the judges rate them and the winner and runners up are decided on the basis of the rating given by the judges. Our college has a good infrastructure fulfilling the needs of the students and also new hostels are being built for the benefit of the students. Annual sports and various quiz competitions are held which helps in the growth and potential of the students. There are cultural and sports clubs which organize different kinds of events.
