Remarks

Best college, good environment for healthy education. Accessibility to college. My grandfather and mother studied there so I came to know about the college from them. Only problem I see there is too much competition between departments.

I love physiology so I choose zoology. Faculties are very much helpful and caring. Student ration is pretty good. All facilities are very much qualified and teaching method is very much convinced.

I did not opted for any internship. But my friends had attended internships. Many projects are done.

Placement Experience

There is no much placement. But ther is job cell in the campus, it is good place. New job opportunity are put on notice board. Interview details will be updated. After college, i joined for PG.

College Events

Campus life at UC was the best. We had elections, where we had opportunity to choose our representatives. UC Library is very famous, it has so much books and much space to spend time. There where many clubs like NSS, NCC, Nature club, so many. UC is famous for sport. Our college give so much importance to sports. National level competition are participated by the students

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is ok. It is affordable. I could complete my course within 15,000. There is campus selection done by job cell working in campus. I did not have any scholarship, but my friends had.

Hostel Facilities

I was not staying in college hostel. But from my friends i know that, hostel rooms are really good, better facility. Hostel fee is affordable and good food is provided. Other PG facilities are available in the locality in affordable price.

Hostel Fee: INR 30 per year

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Faculties are good. Most them are very friendly
Class rooms and canteen are also good. Not the best
Fees are very low comparing to other collages

Dislikes

Not giving good placements. Only 1 or 2 good companies good. Others are average
I'm not interested hostel. But my friends in hostel always saying that the food is not good.
Some faculties are not treat all the students equal. Not every only some

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Programs and activities are good and the support
Good support for the sports and highly skill atheletes

Exams are conducted without a gap in between
There are a lot of assignment often for the students

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

I take admission in the year 2022 through mgu cap. Our college is aided so, comparatively less fees than other self financing colleges.
