Review of St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Bangalore SJC

Starting from the infrastructure, the facilities provided, the faculty and everything that the college provides can be rated more than 9.5 out of 10. The admission cell of the college is very effective which makes the admission procedure very smooth and easy for students. Especially, during this time of the pandemic admission in the college was very smooth. The college is also taking good care of the students in their academics even during these hard times through online classes. Even though all the classes and activities are being held online, the college is taking very effective initiatives towards the students. I personally preferred this college because the overall review of the college was very good and the placement cell of the college is also very effective and above that the college provides many professional courses that can be undertaken by the students such as CMA(Certified Management Accountancy), ACCA(Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), etc.

The faculty of the college is extremely efficient and they try their best to give a home-like feeling to the students. I have chosen BBA(Strategic Finance) course which also provides guidance to clear the CMA(Certified Management Accountant) exam. All the faculty members involved in teaching this course are extremely efficient in their part and are always present to solve any problem faced by the students be it academic, co-curriculum or related to any other thing related to the college. All the faculty members are well qualified to teach the students in college. Most of the faculty members have completed their PhD degree and many are in the process of completing it. Rest of the faculty members are all master degree holders and have experiences in teaching as well as corporate life for a long period of time.

As mentioned earlier the placement cell of the college is very efficient. It offers all the students with the best possible internship programs into the top-rated companies in the country including the big 4 accounting firms of India and many international companies. The college provides the internship program to the students during their 5th semester. The companies assesses the performance of the students and takes care of their on-campus job recruitment.

The placement cell of the college is very efficient and it ensures all the students with the best possible placement. As a result, the placement cell tries its best to bring in the best companies for recruiting the students. The placement cell also ensures 100% placement to all the students opting for various professional courses. The placement cell provides internship facilities to all the students during their 5th semester. The college also provides in-campus hostel facility which enhances the quality of life of students and it also reduces hindrances faced by students from outside Bangalore city. The classrooms are also well equipped with digital class facilities and other things. The college provides the students with adequate amount of co-curriculum activities. The college hosts college fests in a grand manner every year. Lots of activities such as business fest, quiz, debate, various cultural activities, sports activities, etc. are held during the annual fest. The college also provides the students with many clubs, where the students get opportunities to discover the various hidden talents present in them.

The admissions in the college were done on merit basis in the very first place. All the students who applied for admission in the college and had received more than 85% in their 12th board exams were asked to appear for a PI on a specific day. On the day of PI, the person IN charge of taking the interview asked a number of questions. The questions were related to my past education life, views regarding a lot of events taking place in the society and topics studied in 12th grade to examine the academic performance. After the PI was taken, I was asked to pay the admission fees and I was automatically admitted to the college. The admission procedure was really easy and smooth according to me.
