Remarks

It is a good College in the nearby region as it very near to my home, so I preferred this college. The admission process is easy, done on the Chandigarh campus. As my home is near to its school where counseling is done. There you have to first fill the application form and then counseling done. After one day they will notify about the selection. I preferred this college because it is in my home city so I choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The student ratio is very good and maintained properly. 1:45 is the ratio in classes. I choose this course due to my interests in algorithms and data structures which I have started studying after my 12th boards and also I have a good interest in the mechanism beyond apps. Teachers are very good and supportive always try to bring practical education rather than theory. Exams are held weekly basis.

Course Fees: INR 164000 per year

Placement Experience

In the 6th-semester students become available to get placement in big companies. Around 500+ companies visit the university campus. The highest package is 31 lakh last year and the average package is 5 lakh. Companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys visit every year, and many big MNCs like Amazon, google also come. I will like to work in big MNCs like google and I will study hard and developed my skills to get placed in good companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is not so much big very bearable, I belong to a middle-class family, my parents can easily handle the load of fees. Our semester fees are 82000 academic. I choose the bus system so there is a hike of 5% every year. My bus fees are near about 35000. But according to the education, placement and facilities fees is worth.

Campus Life

The annual fest is "Rangrez" which is a cultural fest. Tech fest is alot there like Hackathon, Codathon and many more webinars and training sessions are organized. Tech fest is organized after 2-3 months for the better practical education of students. Classrooms are very good with beautiful benches and big windows, every class is fully air-conditioned and projectors are available in every class. Sports activities are organized every few months for cricket, table tennis, badminton, soccer, and many more.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement.
