Pulkit Jain's Review On Institute Of Management Technology - [IMT], Hyderabad

IMT is a brand name. IMT Ghaziabad is very old and renowned in the industry. IMT Nagpur is the sister branch of it. The admission process was very simple. I registered on the common admission portal of IMT. Through CMAT, I got called. I gave the interview in Ghaziabad Campus. The interview was of around 20 minutes and it included questions from all the finance backgrounds as well as general awareness. I have chosen it because it has a good campus which is 27 acres and has all the necessary facilities inside it only. Apart from this, compared to other colleges, it has lower fees and better academic opportunities and curriculum. One thing that is bad is it has not really good finance professors. There is a culture of senior and junior. Committee involvement really helps the student to develop as an individual and gain new skills and experience which is much needed in today's world.

First Year includes of general and common management subjects which are related to all the fields. You have to select two electives in the 3rd term and in the second year you can choose all the electives of your choice. Most of the professors are P.Hd. holders and have a good hold on the subjects. Although finance professors are not that good at teaching. Exams happened in the mid-term and end-term patterns. Thorough knowledge of the subject may help you to achieve good marks.

Internships are necessary for the program. College brings the companies for the internship. Most of the companies are startups and they provide business development profiles or sales profiles. Core profiles are very rare. Everyone gets placed in terms of internship. Most of the opportunities are less paid or no stipend.

After the 1st year, preparation for placement starts happening. You have to go through a rigorous process and you are prepared well for the placements. But the companies that come for placements are okayish. Most of the students get placed. The average package is around 6-7 lakhs. All sorts of companies from the big 4 to startups, both come.

Fees are 12.1 Lakhs for the 2022 batch. Scholorship is available for CAT aspirants with 90 percentile and above. College also provides financial assistance to the top scorers of 1st year who are economically weaker society.

Milestone 35 is the annual fest that happens every year. M34 is the intra college fest. Both the fests are full of energy and need active participation from the students. While college is decorated on the occasion of both the fest. Apart from these, College life is really lit. Students get to experience the best years of their life. IMT is known for nightlife and I am saying you this is the best part of IMT.

Normal rooms with dual Occupancy. Fees of the hostel are already included in the program fees. There is no AC in the rooms. Electric kettle and fans are not allowed officially. Hostels are nice and well cleaned. There are general washrooms and not attached. But the cleanliness is good.

There was GE round in which we had been given a situation and we have to make a solution for it using charts, critical thinking. Situations were normal and can be easily solved in the group. I prepared for it using a WhatsApp group of my friends.
