UPES is among the topmost private university for law. They have experienced faculty. Generally, they take a test for admission but when I applied, the exam was cancelled and I got admission on basis of my 12th percentage. It was because of the ongoing pandemic. Course Curriculum Overview
Teachers at UPES are highly qualified and have expertise in their respective subjects. We have classes regularly on UPES online portal which is very easy to use. We have had our mid sem and end sem exams online through proctored platforms.
Internships Opportunities
The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies asks you to do internships at least once a semester (in law). They have a structure that asks you to do internships on various levels. You can find an internship on your own. If you don't get one you can approach the college and they will get you one.
Placement Experience
At the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, a student can get campus placement in the final year. Various companies come and follow the placement procedure. Last year 96% of the students got campus placement. The highest package was 12 l/a.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Roughly, college and hostel fee for 5 years will amount to over 25 lacs. Fee increases 10% every year. They offer a few scholarships which you can get info about from the college only. They have 96% campus placement.
Campus Life
The campus of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is situated in the beautiful valley of Dehradun. The campus itself is very beautiful. We have many clubs in the college. Various fests and competition take place throughout the year.
Hostel Facilities
Campus hostels in the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies are 3 bed sharing. We get 24*7 security, high speed wifi, mess food and many other facilities. The rooms are given on a first come first serve basis.
Interview Experience
At UPES the admission process is: 1. UPES entrance exam 2. Interview A cumulative of the above 2 is considered for admission. You can even get an option of giving the entrance exam or submitting your Common Law Aptitude Test.
