Remarks
The good aspects of the college are that it has the best auditorium in the entire Delhi University, it has many societies with good performance and n number of events throughout the year. It has big enough ground. The admission process was much smoother than expected, I got admission in the 6th list with a cutoff of 87% for B.Com(Hons.) including 1% girl quota, I got admission on 7th August 2018. As Satyawati college has two shifts so the admission process for the evening shift started at 2:30 pm in the Seminar Hall of the college. I preferred Satyawati College over Swami Shradhanand College as it was much near to my home as compared to the latter. Honestly speaking I didn't check any of the sites regarding reading reviews for the same as at that time I wasn't aware of all these things much.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to do something in my subject line only. the faculty of this college is extremely good and helpful like in online classes also the teachers were ready to give extra time other than college days so that we can understand the concept. The faculty of the college is highly qualified and the teaching methods are also good. The internals was conducted regularly along with the assignments and it was easy to pass for the regular and attentive ones.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities available in the college. Preferred internships and job roles are Human Resources, Financial Research, Campus Ambassador, Business operation, content writing, Sales & Marketing, Research Analyst, Photography, Accounting & Finance, IT & IT enables, Tourism & Hospitality, Banking & Insurance.
Placement Experience
Final year students become eligible for campus placements and the 1st year and 2nd year students are eligible for internships. The company that visited the college for recruitment are Rapicon, Jio, Hootenanny, LIC, Genpact, Praja, Womenite, The Education Tree, Uthan, VQMS Sixsigma, Aglasem, FRR Forex. My plans after getting the degree are to go for masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the college is pocket friendly, it is collected once every year and every semester there are examination fees and including both tuition one and examination one, it would cost around rs. 8000 (approx) and not more than that but for sure less than it as it is a round figure of the total sum. There is financial assistance for economically weaker sections and also for the physically challenged ones.
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest organised by the student's union is REVEL, and it is organised either in the last week of February or in the first week of March as per the dates available. And there numerous other intra-college fest organised by various societies. The months of February and March are entirely filled with endless fests. The books are available in the library but are much less as compared to the number of students. There are many sports available on the campus and every year in the month of February annual sports meet is conducted in which almost the entire college participates including teachers and students. There are many Instagram pages that provide important updated regarding upcoming events like the fests, deadlines for submitting forms, and many more.
Other Applied Colleges
DELHI INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED STUDIES, INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY | BBA
I didn't opted for this college because I really wanted to study in Delhi University.
