Remarks

The college has a good standing in the country. However the location is a problem. Ranchi is a good city in several aspects, air ,water etc. The admission is done on the basis of JEE Main scores. I preferred this college as I was able to get the course of my choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was according to my choice and interest. The ratio is 1:40 The faculty of the institute are well trained and qualified with advanced teaching methods. The exams are held twice a semester and with effective preparation,can be passed fairly well.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 264000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Several companies like BPCL, tata steel offer internships with hefty stipend. Industrial projects are carried out on a good scale in the college. The students are able to work in a self reliant manner owing to this.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Several companies like Tata Steel, Axis Bank etc visit the campus. The placement number is quite good for CSE,IT,CHEMICAL and EEE branches. I plan for an industrial job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fees is about more tha 1 lacs. The fees increase is not much. The institute provides GP Birla scholarship on several grounds related to financial status, merit,score in JEE Main, CGPA in the college etc.

Campus Life

An annual fest BITOTSAV is conducted. The name of the tech fest is Pantheon. They are conducted February and September respectively. A well developed library is available which caters to all needs. Classroom is well equipped with AC and proper amenities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are quite livable. The rooms for girls are double accommodation and those for boys are single from the second year. The meals are good with them being provided 4 times a day, breakfast lunch snacks n dinner.

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Interview Experience

3.5

No GD or as such was conducted. The admission is strictly on the basis of JEE mains. There is a counselling procedure(Josaa) which simply includes document verification of the students. The preparation for Jee Main is rigorous.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
