Great College for Exposure and Experience.

To get admitted into KJ Somaiya, I sat for the CMAT exam in 2020; the cut-off score to get an interview call was 98 percentile from CMAT. Luckily I got 99.8 percentile, and my GD-PI was on 1st March 2020. In my GD, the topic was "are item songs making women unsafe" the time allotted was 15 mins, and the discussion was very lively. At the end of 15 minutes, we had to sum up our points and summarize in 30 seconds. For my interview, I was asked questions from the form I had filled, and my overall experience was very nice. I choose KJ somaiya over my other options because it had a great reputation with recruiters. It has some great recruiters, especially for marketing like ITC, PUMA, DELL, Zee Network, ebay, FedEx, Google. My undergrad was in Pharmacy, and KJ has some great pharma companies as recruiters like Sanofi, GSK, Abbot.

My course Integrated Marketing Communication teaches about communicating with consumers. The various mediums that can be used and to determine which medium fits where. I took this course because I wanted to understand consumer behavior and how we could exploit it for marketing. The faculty is amazing; they answer all your questions and queries. The teaching method is mostly interactive. The great thing is that you get to learn from industry legends. The exams are relatively easier to crack. If you pay attention in class, you will easily crack them.

There are a lot of internship opportunities in fact even in the pandemic the college managed to place almost all students from my course. The roles offered for my course IMC were sales, Business Development, Marketing, Digital Marketing.

You will surely be placed from this college. You can go out and check the recruiters KJ has. The volume is great and so is the quality. The average package for a core MBA is around 11 lacs. For my course IMC, the AVerage package is about 9 lacs.

The fee is a bit on the higher side, but you will get so much experiential learning that it will be worth every penny. There are tons of internship opportunities from great companies, and the college does not stop until every student is placed for summer internships.

Because of the pandemic, I haven't been on campus yet. For my GD-PI, I had gone to the campus, and the campus is very beautiful,it's huge, and it's close to the station. The library is stocked with all kinds of books, and you will get virtual access to databases like Euromonitor. There are also a lot of clubs that you can be a part of; these clubs will give you tremendous exposure.

My GD was on 1st March 2020 and it was an amazing experience, we had 3 minutes to think about the topic followed by a discussion of 12 minutes. The discussion was lively but very civil. After the discussion, we had to sum up our points in 30 seconds.
