Remarks

Management was not that helpful at the time of placement there was quite a ruckus in last days of college. They were not doing anything to bring companies to college. Training placement officer was caught taking bribe from a student. I would say it was lukewarm experience for me. You can choose this college , if you must.

Entrance Preview

Exam taken-IPU CET Score- 22000, Opt- Cause this was the nearest college available with CSE seat in counselling, Course Selection- wanted to be a computer engineer so chose CSE. Interview- no interview was taken. Selection solely based on entrance test.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure was not so good. No research work can be performed with that course. Only theoretical knowledge given importance. I chose computer science. Lab classes were not good. Limited coding practice was given. Lab assignments were also redundant. Courses were mugged and exams were given. The topics in curriculum didn't help much in implementing a model project.

Internships Opportunities

There was an internal internship but we didn't get any stipend for it. The internship was provide by TATA CMC for three different languages JAVA, .Net, Linux.

Placement Experience

0.5

On campus placement was not good at all there were no companies coming in our college that year. 2013 Every body gave Amcat and Elitmus exams to get placed. Then college took details of those who got placed through these portals and published it as list of places students. There was one startup company which offered 1.8 lac pa, there was another Thought Works company which offered 6 lac pa but didn't select anybody.

College Events

3.5

Events were: Fresher party, Farewell, Techno fest- its a three day event where students participate in games and coding war, then university fest which was held in university campus, College Fest- includes dancing, modelling , singing, magic show, Sports Fest- individual and team games are played. I have participated and attended all events they are not so grand. They are OK types.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't get any scholarship from college and i don't know of any such scholarship provided by our college, loans are not given.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio is quite good in our college mostly students are from north India residing in Delhi. There are dance groups, robotics club, labs for curriculum there are no debates event as well, there are sports event where sports like cricket, football, badminton, basket ball, table tennis and carom are played.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

There is no hostel facility for our college, there are no PGs around the college. College location is not so good. It lies on 0-Pusta road shastri park. The area around it is underdeveloped. There are food courts outside the college. The college cafeteria is very small, And sells so- so kind of food.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not that strong for taking notes we have a photocopy shop where you can get all type of notes for any subjects. Interaction takes only place on extra curricular activities days.

Exam Structure

There are two sessional exam in exams in each semester in which 13 marks is passing marks out of 30. There is a third sessional exam only for those students who have failed in any earlier two exam the average of these two sessional marks is taken and out of 30 is given to send it get added in final exam. Final exam was of 70 marks. Exam labs were chilled out not much hectic.

Faculty

3

Only few faculty were well educated. Rest were just M tech from not so good college. knowledge base also was good of few faculties. Faculty gave more importance on file submission as keeping the proof of topic taught our data structure and computer networks faculty were good. Few times there were no faculty for a subject for weeks. There were few senior faculties with good knowledge.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.
