Remarks

The timing of college is bad and exhausting. It's 9 am to 5 pm and sometimes to 6 pm. Library closes at 8 pm which is bad because libraries are meant to be open for 24*7. The wifi speed is low. The systems are out dated. The faculty sometimes don't know about the course and takes boring lectures. They ask fine of like 500 for taking a leave even if it because of fever.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Okay so our college focuses mainly on studies only. We are actually not allowed to do anything else and if we do we are fined which from my side is wrong because sports and other Co-curricular activities are also necessary. But as far as we talk about the teaching, it's good enough for the campus. And yes in between there are a lot of opportunities where we are taught about the industry-specific knowledge. And sometimes industry visits happen too. So it's good enough for a person to be only good in studies and ready for campus as it develops students mentally but physically there is no development which I think is wrong.

Placement Experience

4

A lot of companies for IT and CSE students come to our college for placement drives. Such as Infosys, TCS, Persistent etc. We have 3 rounds for each recruitment drive. First the aptitude test, then the technical test and finally the interview. Sometimes steps changes for different companies as all of them have different criterias but it is the basic procedure. And around 80% of students are placed every year. So it's a good quantity. I've done internship in web development so it's helpful for me and if students have not done any Internships then the college provide them a internship which helps the students so it's good.

College Events

2

A lot of events are conducted at our college. The main event is Atharva which is the annual function of our college and held on February each year. Then I'm a coordinator of NSS Unit of our college and our cell organise blood donation each semester which is a good thing. I'm also a coordinator for Soft Skills development cell in which we organise events like debate and MUN. There are a couple of cells too like Enterpreneurship development cell which also takes us to industry visit. And then there is ISTE which organises Treasure hunt and other events. So overall we have 3 events per month and this is really good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the general category is expensive when we look into the facilities that the college provide. It's not worth it. I pay 1 lac each year which is a huge amount with no such good facilities. The college accepts all type of payment methods so it's good in that way. Now there are some scholarships but that too for SC, ST and OBC which I guess is discrimination. And they also take additional charges for things which later they don't provide permission for which is wrong.

Fees and Financial Aid

I've took an education loan as my family can't afford this much. So as a jain we have an organisation which provides education loan without interest. In that we have to submit our documents and get permitted by the college and then the fees is directly paid my the bank each year to the college.

Campus Life

2.5

The gender ratio in our college is 1:1 so it's good. We aren't allowed to do parties or celebrate valentine's day in college which is sad. There is no gender discrimination or caste discrimination in the college so it's fair for all. We have many events like treasure hunt, MUN, Debate, Webinars, Seminars, blood donations etc which is exciting. All the events are conducted by students under faculty supervision which is good for us. We all work together to make a event successful.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes, I live in a hostel and it is the best hostel I know. It is a room of 2 with attached bathrooms. The fees is 28000 per year which is way too good and cheap. The mess charges are different from the hostel charges. The mess cost 2200 per month. So approx the hostel costs us 50000 rupees per year which I think is cheap and acceptable when we look at the facilities it provide. The hostel is secured with cameras. There is a temple in the hostel which is good and we also have a ground so overall it's good.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the seniors and alumni helps us a lot. They teach us the basics of the company. In starting they helped us to know the college and what we can do. They also teach us how to get prepared for an interview. They help us during the events and for the subjects or topics we don't understand. The alumni meet is a good interaction session where they make us ready for the challenges we will have to face.

Admission

I joined WIT in 2017. I joined it because of Jain Quota and my good JEE score. First I called the college and they appointment a teacher for me. She took care of everything from forms to fees related things and she still helps me if I need help. Then after consulting with her about the college, we went to Solapur to look around the college. Then we paid the fees, filled the forms, submitted the documents and the admission was successful.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.
