Remarks

New college, no existing information. I chose this because i saw the scope of growth. It had an affiliation with IIT Bombay, which was very good. The admission process was the standard JoSAA process, whch is for admiassion to IITs. the admissionis on the basis of JEE Advanced and the process spans over two months, starting in June.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Computer Science and Engineerong as it is a booming industry. The faculty to student ratio is the best i have seen at any institute, 1 faculty for every 10 students. Faculty experience ranged from fresh PHD grads to Retired IIT Bombay Proffessors. There was a faculty feedback method in place at the end of every semester. The term exams were held in November and April end, with smaller exams happening much more frequently.

Class Size: 33

Placement Experience

Since we are a new college, the situation with regards to placements is not comparable to other IITs. Students are eligible to sit for Campus internships starting from the first year itself and for placements in the 4th(final year). Highest package would be around 40 LPA, and average around 9 LPA among those placed. More than 50% of students were placed amongst those enrolled for placements.

College Events

We organised the first ever cultural fest at our college. We took part in many sport activities. There was equipment and space for Basketball, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Volleyball and more. There were sufficient books in the Library.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for all IITs is the same, which shouldn't be the case. Older IITs offer a much better experience and therefore newer IITs should start with a lower fee i feel. There was no fee hike in my four years at the institute.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Facility was very good, including food. The menu was handled by students. Hostel facility was compulsory for all students. The rooms were cleaned weekly. The facilities include, washing machines, Refrigerator, common spaces, night canteen.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

JEE advanced score was the admission criteria. I took coaching for two years for preparing for the same. It was a two stage exam consisting of Maths, Physics and Chemistry Questions, mostly multiple choice questions.

Placement Experience:

there's practice school option in semester 4 which allows students to go to corporate company and work as an intern, giving students exposure to work experience. this can lead to a FTE placement as well. Maintaining 8+ GPA is very important in getting placed. I plan to get placed and work in AI roles.

BITS Pilani, Goa Campus- A road to an interesting life.

Placement Experience:

Students can start sitting in placements from the start of 4th year , when the Placement Division starts bringing companies to the campus. The average package for CS is around 20-26 LPA, for Electrical branches it's around 18-24 LPA and for Mechanical and Chemical it is around 13-16 LPA. These figures would've changed though from the last time I saw. Around 85-90% of the students get placed usually. Top notch companies like Google, Microsoft , DE Shaw, Arcesium Cohesity Rubrick recruit students every year for the tech roles and other prominent companies like Flipkart, Sprinkle, Intuiut and Coin Switch come for managerial roles as well. There is even a chance of getting a PPO through Summer Internship Program which kikstarts in the 3rd year where students compete to get internship in these top companies. Overall , BITS Goa has impeccable placement statistics

Bits Goa good or not

Placement Experience:

There is a dept for placements. 70 to 80 percent people get placed woth average package of 20 lakhs per annum. Mostly ot depends on interviews and how good internship you get in 3rd year. Cg plays a very imp role too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is cbme based this meets the international standards and students can attampt usmle aslo. The course give u exposure to real world scenarios. The course is good as it is. The exams take place every semester and end of the year finals. Moderately difficult to clear.

Bits goa brief review

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good because we have two compulsory internships called practice school to make us industry ready after the second year summer for 2 months and one semester in the 4th or 5th year placements start since 7th semester itself were most get offers in PPO thright the internships. 248 companies visited along with 631 students placed the average is 2083000 and median is 1650000. 76 percent of students got placed highest was 80lpa. I plan to get a job

Trusted experience of Iit goa

Many students has the doubt of selecting best branch or college, I would say going for the branch yeah it's true that high collages have high placements but it's doesn't guarantee uhhh to get a job uhh must have the best knowledge so gain the best knowledge is best course instead of low branch and then doing other courses. IIT Goa Review

Completing engineering from IIT is like a dream come true for every engineering student. IITs not only provide good placement but learning and the exposure and opportunities that we get is unimaginable. I also wanted to be part of IIT and I really worked hard for the GATE exam but frankly speaking, I am an average student and my GATE score was between 755 to 860 according to me ad my preference is IIT Goa was the best option.
