MUKUL KUMAR's Review On Vellore Institute Of Technology - [VIT University], Vellore

I wrote VITEEE exam just after JEE Mains in the month of April 2018. I was always looking for prestigious college during my preparation and I confirmed it with NIRF ranking of this college. And, even before admission, I googled all the useful information and show lots of YouTube videos about college review.

I always interested in Electronics and Computer that's why I chose Btech (ECE). My experience with VIT Chennai is good so far. Here, all faculties are well qualified and all of them are doctoral degree holders but their teaching method is average with decent faculty to student ratio. There are total three exams in a semester of approximate 5 months (CAT1, CAT2 and FAT) and the exams are bit difficult to pass as around 5 - 10% students get fail.

Not internship but a project offer from SAMSUNG.

After sixth semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many reputed company visit college every year to provide internships and placements like Microsoft (7 offers), Amazon (15 offers), Paypal (10 offers) and DE Show&CO (5 offers) and many more with 44 LPA highest package. There is around 90% of overall placement and university owns a Limca Book of Records of 129 students got placed in two days with 6 LPA package. After getting degree, I want to get placed in some reputed core company.

In campus they organized two annual fest per year TechnoVIT (in September) and Vibrance (in February). During these fest different clubs organize many technical, social and environmental events and tournaments to be a part of them. And, there is adequate availability of literature, comic and newspapers in 6 - 10 different languages apart from all necessary technical stuffs in library. VOICE-IT_VITCC is an Instagram page of VIT Chennai's Radio Station run by students.

College has tied up with Indian Bank to provide academic loans with decent interest rates but they have their own terms and conditions better to take loan from local banks.

I am fully satisfied with my college infrastructure as they provide enough space and equipment for both indoor and outdoor games and sports. And, they organize different sports competitions and tournaments to encourage students. They provide 50 GB of wi-fi data per month previously it was 20 GB with speed of 200 - 400 Kbps. Here, Library is quit big because there is a whole building for library with 3 floors and enough space for 200 -300 people. And, here all labs are operated in AC environment with one time student limit of 30 and they are maintaining enough equipment and tools always in working condition.

For hostel there are different variant of room types like AC & Non-AC for 2, 3, 4 and 6 bed. They provide three times full meal and in evening snacks and the quality is above average if I compare with other college. There are total of 4 people (work in two shift) assigned for each floor of hostel to take care of cleaning and hygiene. They provide 24x7 clean RO drinking water of both warm and cold type, gym and indoor games and sports and even they provide night canteen facility.

To get admission, I wrote an exam called VITEEE in year 2018 which is conducted by University itself. In that, I secured 16395 rank out of 2 lakh plus aspirants.
