Entrance examination was Karnataka CET. I opted Civil engg in this particular college due to its great faculty and good brand name,

The syllabus is set by VTU which is Karnataka State Technical University. It is very good with a mix of pure theory, workshops and projects.It also has a mandatory extensive survey project where all the survey related theory is put into practise. Also the drawing related subjects like building, RCC drawing and detailing, Irrigation drawings are really helpful.

No internship is provided by the college. But the department offers innovative experimental and software based students’ projects, exposing them to the latest developments. Many student projects have been recognized and sponsored by KSCST, Bangalore and have won awards in the state level Project Exhibition and Competition – SRISTHI.

Aura is a national level cultural fest organised by KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi. Every summer GIT brings in the biggest platform for the students across the nation to come together & showcase their talent and rise to the tallest fame its one of the biggest & most happening cultural event of Karnataka.

Fees is as per KCET for admissions to 1st year in qualifying examination, candidates should have In CET-Examination engineering (B.E.) Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent exam with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer(40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) no minimum marks prescribed in CET.

The hostel is moderate separate boys and grils hostel the mess is average but other canteen in the college premises the college is and very good the mess is optional.

Well equipped Laboratories in each department modern Computer Centre with latest machines and software Centre for Academic Excellence , Industry – Institute Partnership Cell, Library access 24 X 7, Separate hostels for Boys and Girls, Transportation with 10+ buses, Medical facilities with visiting doctors (separate lady doctor for girl students), Centralized Computing facility with 1300+ computers on network, 150 Mbps Internet connectivity, Wi-fi, CCTV surveillance, Ultra modern Library with more than 1 lac volumes, E-Library, E-learning, E-Journals & Digital Library, Industrial Robot and Flexible Manufacturing System.

Great alumni network has a separet web page and helps is connecting. Also there are alumni meeting conducted in different cities recently one such meeting was held in Dubai.

The course is eight semesters of 6 months each. Each semester has 6 theory subjects and two workshops.The exam paper is set by the University which is great because you have to be well prepared. the level of the paper is moderate. The evaluation is also done by professors of some different college. The college has two internal exams of 25 marks and and external final is of 100 marks.
