Remarks
Good things: Small batch size, two-semester in a year therefore course load is relatively less. Peer to peer learning with batchmates and professors are quite helpful and lenient. The global field study program for a week one of the centres of attraction. Bad things: Not enough placement opportunities in some of the domains.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is light. Two semester helps in keeping the study-life balance. Since this time it's online, examinations are mostly case study and assignment based. The student to teacher ratio is appropriate as it is a batch of 120 divided into two sections. TA's are quite active and ready to help whenever required.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies visit the campus and offer varied roles in IT, operations, product management, sales and finance. The average stipend for 2 months is quite high for a few companies. The internship process takes place in two phases.
Placement Experience
The placements for the batch of 2019 were excellent with the average being around 22 LPA. Many good companies visited the campus for the final recruitment like Shell, Amazon, Bain, GE, Wipro, KPMG etc. The ROI is high when compared to other institutes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee is around 10 lakhs including academic fee, hostel fees and mess fees which is less as compared to the other institutes. In terms of ROI, the management school at IIT is one of the best. The top three performers are eligible for a fee to waive off.
Campus Life
The life on campus will surely be a fun ride but unfortunately due to the pandemic, all the classes for the 2020 batch are held in the online mode. But whatever I have heard from batchmates and seniors, the hostels are well maintained and since the campus is located at the centre of the city in Hauz Khaz, its easy to make plans and go out with friends to nearby cafes or restaurants.
Interview Experience
Yes, the group discussion took place at IIT Delhi and the topic was very relevant with the current affairs or was a generic one related to the economy of India. Sufficient time was provided for WAT and thereafter the interview with the faculty was not so grilling. The test you on your knowledge about your work experience and the industry in which you had worked. For freshers, interviews will be mostly based on the graduation stream.
