Remarks
FMS is one of the top 5 B-schools in India and the best B-school in terms of ROI probably in the world with smaller batch size, the learning experience is better and the peer group is great. The only shortcoming is the small campus but the Delhi University north campus feels like an extension to it and it is beautiful. Being in the heart of the national capital, there are a lot of benefits of studying here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Unlike IIMs, FMS follows the semester system as it is a part of the University of Delhi. There are 4 semesters rather than 6 trimesters. However, most of the subjects are covered in these 4 semesters. In the first year, all the subjects are mandatory for the students and in the second year, students have to choose subjects from the electives. The profs are good with some of them having teaching experience in foreign universities.
Internships Opportunities
FMS has one of the best summer placements. Some of the top recruiters for internships are Microsoft, Google, BCG, Kearney, Amazon, Nestle, Loreal etc. The average stipend for the current batch(2020-2022) is around 2.3 lakhs(2 months).
Placement Experience
Placements are really good and one of the best in the country. A good number of roles are offered in marketing, consulting, prodman, ops domains. Some of the top recruiters are Bain, BCG, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Media.net, Loreal, Microsoft, Google etc. Almost all of the batch gets placed with good offers. The average package for the 2018-2020 batch was 25.6 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester fees are around 42000. Apart from that, students have to pay around 20-30k for MSA funds each year. So, the final total expense comes out to be around 2 lakhs. Rent and mess expenses are not included in it. Placements are good for most of the domains.
Campus Life
The campus is small, so a lot of the fun happens outside the walls. There are all kinds of club varying from Dance, Music, entrepreneurship, art, investment, consulting, finance, marketing, sports, quizzing etc. Being a part of the north campus of Delhi University, the experience is cheerful.
Interview Experience
Final admission is given on the basis of the compound score which is calculated by various parameters like CAT score, academic record, PI, extempore etc. You can find the topics for GD/Extempore online. This year onwards, SOP discussion is also included.
