Remarks
I am very happy to have chosen IIAD. My reasons to select it over the other private colleges: 1. They offer two degrees -I have graduated with an international degree from KU and another from Lingaya which is a UGC approved degree. At the time of joining, I wasn't sure what I would pursue after college so this degree made me feel secure about my future plans. Other private colleges didn't have this. 2. The teachers - I met some of them during the admission process and they were so helpful. 3. I loved the fact that the campus was very close to my house so I wasn't going to spend a lot of time commuting.
Course Curriculum Overview
I studied communication design as I wanted to be a UI UX developer. The faculty-student ratio was very good - we were only 28 students in my class and there were so many teachers who taught us different subjects. Some lectures would have 2 teachers together. We mostly studied out of the classroom - in the group - on projects, making learning so much fun.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, my internship experience was great. The 16-week compulsory internship that I completed after my 6th semester was very helpful. I worked directly under a UI UX designer who is very well known in the industry. I learned so much from her and the others in that consulting firm.
Placement Experience
The placement cell was very supportive - I now work for a UI UX design consultancy. Got placed from the college itself. Before that, I got a chance to complete 3 different industry internships -one of them was for 4 months - giving me so much exposure. I learned the maximum during this one.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was slightly on the higher side but after I joined I felt comfortable with it as there were so many facilities on the campus. We were provided apple systems to work on - the faculty used them too, beautiful labs, a lot of industry visits happened so it was all worth it. Scholarships - yes I have been told they provide it. I didn't avail it though.
Campus Life
Life at Campus - awesome, rocking, tremendous experience. I made so many friends who think like me - mostly Delhi people but also made friends from across the country - some as far as Cochin. The library was very well equipped, classrooms beautifully made - infact we had studios. We felt like we're working as proper designers right from day 1. We had an annual event called Remix - best memory.
Interview Experience
I had a personal interview - they asked me some basic questions about my inclination towards design and art. I still remember that day - was a little nervous but I am happy I cleared. Before that, we gave an exam called IDAT.
Other Applied Colleges
