Remarks

It's in hilly area hill station Kufri near Army Canteen the college is excellent, excellent faculty staff each and every single thing is best in this college during placement many different hotels come to the institute as there is in institute placement, the only this is for public conveyance. We have to wait for a bit or sometimes for longer then we get buses and taxi prices are more.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I wanted to be a chef, faculty is just excellent and a class there are 40 students in theory class and 25 in practical classes the main focus is on practicals so the practicals are of 4 hours per day from 9 am to 12:40 there are mid sem and end-term sem exams.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 118000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Roseate, Ambience Leela, Hotels in Aerocity Delhi every hotel, Vivanta by Taj, JW Mariot and many more with a base stipend of 2500, there should be a register made by the trainees in which we have to enter the thing we do in each day and at present, we have 12 weeks training so we should get atleast 4 appraisal certification also.

Placement Experience

From 5 sem onwards students become eligible for campus placement, Taj group of companies, roseate, Oberios group of a Chain hotel, taj every hotel comes in the college for hiring and every company package starts from 40 000 per Noth as a base salary 100 per ent student get placement, I'll do masters and then I'll go for a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Years it is 1 lakh 18 thousand excluding uniform and kitchen kit, the stipend is just awesome as currently I got training under roseate Delhi and I'm getting 5000 stipends just for training and many of my known seniors got a job and they are getting like 50,000 base salaries.

Campus Life

Life in the institute is the best and there is a li Raya there are many diff festivals done inside the campus and the cooking maine equipment are provided we just have to bring the kitchen kit, there are also sports activities like volleyball, chess, table tennis there IA an entertainment hall where we play indoor games and which is also having a tv.

Hostel Facilities

I'm room there is a bed mattress a chair a study table wardrobe which has 3 compartments a big wardrobe we can say light is there, now there is also a heater in every room a gas heater which is heated by gas so no electricity issues meal quality is a bit not good but in the weekend we just get damn special food as we order in hotels, and the hostel is way much better than pg or flats as they are higher in price the base pg price at nearest cost 5000 per month for one person.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Interview Experience

Nchmct exam is needed as an entrance for this overall college in India for hotel management govt ones and private too but which are linked toh nchmct, the entrance is easy just it got the mathematics of basic 10th class situations based analytical question and English.

Realistic and Valid

Course Curriculum Overview:

I came here just because I was confused regarding the further studies I personally didn't choose this course and I am not that fan of hotel industry and I'm pursuing HM here I don't think they will be enough prepared for the real world here gotta do that with ourselves only better not fully rely here Yeah by conducting more practicals instead of making us mug up the theories Yeah there are many irrelevant subject they taught us here at HM department too Like EMS, RMT etc

Placement Experience:

From 5 semester students are eligible to sit in the placement and after 6 semester they have to join the company in which they are selected There are so many hotels chain and relatils company are come in our college like hyatt group , oberoi group, taj group, itc group, pride group, welcome group, accour group and other retailes chain like Pyramid and many more Highest package that is given is 11 lakhs that is given by pyramid group that is retail group and the average is 3-4 lakhs that's is given by Hyatt and taj Basically there is no criteria to sit in placement but your all back should be clear and atleast you have a percentage of 4 cgpa should be happen that was a minimum criteria My plan is to crack management training program in big and international brand and join the international group like Oberoi, Taj, Hyatt and any other

I left the internship as it was way too much hectic for me

Placement Experience:

The college is good in terms of placement teachers will call your family if you do not sit in the placements that's good around 30 % of students gets MT and others can easily get the jobs if you are still interested in this field no one likes to be sitted in placement after the intership so it also gets easy for you to get the placements easily as competition gets much lower

Love for my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I believe their is no difficulty in exams 3 hours is more then enough. And before final exams their is college test which is conducted batch wise. And I always wanted to work in hotel industry or tourism industry that's why I choose this course and second thing is that hospitality industry is very vast industry.

Pros and cons for taking admission in ihm shimla

Placement Experience:

Semester 5 year 3 students are eligible for college placement it's upto students if they want self or college placement I would suggest you to take college placement. Sit for every company. For this year highest package was 12 l.per annum and lowest was 4 .our college help the student to be placed. Retail company also comes including hotels like the oberoi, taj,Leelaand for retail bira 91, Calvin Klein etc and for international ADNH COMPASS has contacted ihm Shimla.

peaceful environment for students.

Remarks:

APG Shimla University is located in the lap of mountains providing a peaceful environment for students. Infrastructure of the university is nice providing sports facilities, e-library were students can read books online as the university provides Wi-Fi facilities as well. Faculty members are well-qualified and help students if they face any problem with the subjects.

Basically i selected in my other ihm college and lnipe that is basically a physical education college and i choose this college is because first a fall it is a come in top 10 college in india of hotel management and the facilities and faculty both are best of this college and i like mountains that's why I come here No I don't reject in any college i give two exam after 12 first is nchmtc jee that is basically for hotel management and second is cuet for lnipe college that is for physical education and I selected in both the college Basically the selection process of my college is with only one exam that is nchmtc jee that is happening every year first you have to fill the form online and after that you have give the basic test that is computer based test that is off 700 marks and in this paper is divided into 3 part first is general abilities second is maths and third is english and basic releted to hotel management and the basic cut off is 350 + marks after that you have to select the college that you have to join and individual cut off is out by the college for admission And after all of this college select you according to your percentage and then you have to submit your documents and medical and then you are selected...Read More

Pros and cons for taking admission in ihm shimla

10+2 people with above 50 percentage can apply for it. And for institute of hotel management shimla they have open direct addmission for the people who didn't get the opportunity to complete their degree.
