Remarks

I believe the more and more the college is student driven then it will help in the betterment of students and college.

Entrance Preview

I gave MAT(98.6 percentile) and CAT(70 percentile). I preferred this college as I heard a lot about this college from the alumni and checked the ratings too. The course structure is different than other colleges so I found it interesting.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum fits to your career plan properly as it is very flexible and you can take any subjects which you want with a compulsion to take specializations as major and rest depends on the student. There is a good mixture of finance, operations, marketing and HR for the electives options.

Internships Opportunities

Yes they provide internship opportunities in some of the prominent companies like Britannia, Oracle, Thomson Reuters, OSG etc.

Placement Experience

4

Placements I would say starts little slowly but reaches its pace within the due time. Last time in total 110 companies came to the campus and a few good one were ACT, Britannia, IPSOS Research, OSG research, Deloitte, Oracle etc. The highest package was 9 lakhs/a and average was 5.6 lakhs p/a.

College Events

3.5

We conduct a national level fest named NAMAN every year which is completely student driven from getting sponsors to organizing events, inviting colleges and conducting cultural events too. During my time we conducted NAMAN and called Raghu Dixit almost 2000 people turned up for the event. Apart from that we keep celebrating festivals, different club activities and other sports activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was Rs 9.75 lakhs for the two year and which includes course fee, books and other facilities, apart from that you pay for hostel which includes accommodation, food etc costing Rs 60000 per month. Apart from that we are supposed to pay Rs 2000 as security deposit and Rs 10000 for the uniform.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got ex-serviceman scholarship which reduced my total fees by 50%. Other than that they have scholarship for academics and sports too.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is very vibrant and keeps you occupied with something or the other. Gender ratio would be 5:2(Male:female) and diversity wise you will find the students from each corner of India. The college is equipped with finance lab, 3 computer labs, analytics lab and for sports there is almost all the major games equipment available.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is one place to admire as it looks fabulous and the mess food is also quite delicious with the menu a combination of south and north Indian foods. The hostel fees are paid in advance in every six months. There are rooms which accommodates 2 students each in every room.

Alumni/Alumna

College keeps conducting alumni meets and now that I am a part of it, it feels wonderful and really helps to network with alumni who are doing wonders.

Exam Structure

The exams are conducted in the middle of a semester and at the end of a semester. The exams are quite interesting as few professors ask for a open book exam and few would ask to give exams in a regular way. But exams are interesting as students get chance to revise their learning.

Admission

I was asked to write a essay on a particular topic and then I had a Group discussion with 8 students in each group. Later I gave a personal interview to a panel member of 3 which went on for 30 minutes. After the interview was done they asked me to wait till they finalize. Later they called and I had a personal interview with the senior professor who asked me which specialization I want to take and then he concluded that I am selected.

Faculty

4

The faculties of our college are well experienced industry wise as well as teaching wise too. They are approachable any time of the day and always suggest you the best books to study from. The notes which they give are quite outstanding as well as the teaching process is not the same like schools.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
