There is no entrance examination for BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application).Any one can apply for the course after their 12th. Based on 12th marks applications are short -listed and candidates are called for interview and counselling.During interview and counseling session a panel of the college faculties from the computer science department evaluate our mark sheets,etc and ask basic interview questions i really like computer science and programming so,decided to take up this course.

The course curriculum is decided by a team of faculties giving great importance to the current trend in the IT Industry. Along with regular subjects in every semester, the college conducts extramural sessions,that are conducted by experts most of the faculties of the computer science department have worked with well-known IT companies. So, they are able to guide us about the different standards followed various companies we have electives in our last year(i.e the 5th and the 6th semester) also we have a mini project and a main project which are evaluated strictly the projects are to be done by the students themselves in the college system.

Yes our college does provide internship but it depends upon the course,In our department we BCA students didn't have internship instead we had projects. Mainly internship programs are available for Media students several channels come like kairali, etc.

Almost all students who were eligible to attend the placements got placed in top companies.I got placed at Infosys Technologies Ltd in my 5th semester itself currently I am working at Infosys, Bangalore. In 2015, Wipro, Infosys, CTS, TCS, Cognizant, Sap Technologies, etc came for recruitment. Infosys offered a package of 18000 while wipro offered a package of 13000 along with an opportunity to study M tech from Bits, Pilani.

There are multiple events hosted at the campus throughout the year.Our campus gives equal importance to celebrations as that of studies. Every year the following events are conducted : Sports Day (Its called Kayikamritam), Annual Day (kalamritam), Extramural Lecture Series(Vidyamritam), Several Exhibitions, CSI(Computer Society of India) Events, Tech Fests, Coding Completions, etc.

The fee structure is feasible when compared to the world class facilities provided by the college authorities. The fee structure varies with the course and the requirements for the course.For BCA students,per semester the fee is approx. 12000-13000 for day scholars and for hostlers it is approx. 40000 per semester including the food and accommodation fee.Other than the semester fee no additional amount is collected through the semester. Some times a minimal amount of Rs.10 is collected in case of additional printouts,etc required for study.For MCA and other pg courses fee is a bit more than that of the UG courses.

Educational loans are made available via different banks.The college helps the students in getting educational loans via banks.

Amrita School of Arts and Sciences located in the sprawling and serene Brahmasthanam Temple Complex at Edappally, Kochi.UG courses are available only for girls and PG courses are available for both boys and girls. We have students from all over india we even have students from abroad we have students from all religions but at ASAS we all are one in everything we do. At Amrita, we are one big family arts and Sports are also given great importance we have sports day celebrations that lasts for about 3 days even the faculties actively participate in the arts and sports activities we have well equipped labs for different departments, that can accommodate all the students.

The hostel life was one of the most memorable one. In each room students will be accommodated. Each are given a separate bed, cupboard, table and chair. The rooms are spacious for PG students the rooms are 3 sharing in the college hostel we are not allowed to bring any electronic devices. Land phones are available in each floor for the students to call to their parents for hostel students, if they are not well they will be taken for treatment to Kerala's best multi-specialty hospital Amrita Institute of Medical sciences for treatment.

Senior students are quite helpful.They guide us with our works and studies. Here ragging is completely prohibited.And no one is involved in any such activities.

We don't usually get study leaves for exams but I guess it's better instead of study leaves revisions are conducted in classes.In a semester we have 3 exams,1st periodical i.e conducted after 2 months from the beginning of the semester followed by the 2nd periodical which is conducted after 1 month from the end of first periodical then finally we have end semester examination i.e the university examination. Weight age is 80-60, 80 from internals and 60 from university examination.

By April may online application was available at the college website and also application forms were available at the campus as well by may end I received a call letter by post informing that my application has been short-listed for the interview and counselling and the details were provided in the call letter and also received a call from the college informing the same based on my 12th marks my application was short -listed and was called for interview and counselling. The interview was conducted by a panel of faculties of the computer science department and the college director himself.After that I got selected before the beginning of the interview all the candidates along with their parents were shown a video mentioning the rules,regulations and culture followed at the campus hostelers and day scholars had separate briefing session.

The faculties are the best part of the campus such inspiring faculties we have here all the computer science department faculties are well experienced in both teaching field as well as IT industry the faculties are highly qualified most of the faculties are even doing research our college director is the best.He is such a creative and intelligent person all the faculties are very much dedicated they help us find more interesting facts beyond the text books they are always ready to clear our doubts even if its not required from exam point of view. Regular assessments, daily questioning and presentations, etc make the classes even more interesting and informative the faculties here try their level best to make us understand a concept using animation, images, discussions, etc.
