Remarks

One of the best govt college in Odisha,Studies and academics are too good. Placement is also eI wanted to take admission in NIT Rourkela but i didn't got it so i took admission i nthis college ans hopefull this was my right decision.

Course Curriculum Overview

Some teachers are talented, but some of them are not. Some teachers have very poor communication skills, and some teachers don't have proper syllabus knowledge. Some of them are not aware of proper marking schemes. There are good teachers, and they teach well. The course is average, but it covers every type of civil related things.

Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Placement Experience

About 1-2% of the students got placed. Only 1 or 2 companies visit here for civil department placements. Last year the salary package offered was 4 LPA. Many students get placed only in IT companies through mass recruitment, but LnT visit only for the civil branch.

College Events

There is a new civil department building, but it is only for faculty members. There is nothing for students. Still, we use old classrooms. Now new whiteboards are set up for students, but poor teaching and evaluations are a major problem. Hostel food is average and not that hygienic. Canteen is also average.

those course curricullams at central university of odisha is thought fully designed ,offering a balanced blend of theoretical depth and practical relevance. on eof the key reason why students opt for such courses like int mathmatiss is the seamless academic progression and strong foundation it provides for research and comprdative exams. that curricullum could be more better as it can be more practical. what we are studing is like 80% theory and just 20% practical. so i do think that could be more better. the quality needs to be improved.

Placement Experience:

As Rourkela is a tier 3 city the placement opportunities are no as much as the tier 1 cities but the college still provides placements oppertunities with a decent amount of starting package of 4LPA.The college brings alot of companies for job and intership through it's long and good establishment in the city. The students becomes eligible for campus placement from 5th semester onwards as they have enough projects. Infosys, Capgemini,Dalmia,etc companies visited and highest package was 4.5 Lpa and average was 4lpa with 2 lpa as the lowest. Getting a MCA degree afterwards is most preferable for getting a better job.

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains.
