Entrance Preview

Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by Kerala State in 2005. My rank is 14965. I choose Electrical and Electronics Engineering under Kerala University.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose Electrical and Electronics Engineering Course in Sree Budhha College of Engineering in 2005. I love this course because this stream is considered as the core of Engineering course and also the evergreen branch under Engineering Stream. This course have a lot of field applications.

Internships Opportunities

One of the best ways to improve your chances of finding employment after graduation is to participate in an internship during your school years. You can gain hands-on experience in your chosen field, significantly increase your networking contacts, and learn how corporate cultures, environments, and structures work.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are normally structured programmes ,spend an entire academic year working for an organisation as a full-time member of staff, before returning to university for your final year. They generally take place after your second year at university and provide students with the opportunity to gain all-important work experience and employ ability skills before graduating. For many degrees they are optional, but for some it is a compulsory component of the university course.

College Events

4.5

How true and accurate that sentiment still is. When it comes to the holiday season, countless tired and overworked Americans look forward to quality time with family and friends to eat, drink, and be jolly during the most magical time of the year. Many people are transported back in time to the innocent, nostalgic past when the excitement for Christmas morning was the best time of the year. Undoubtedly, the holidays are brim full of good cheer and memories. Our many colleges and universities offer community events, concerts, campus lighting and parties that are often free of charge and high quality and can add to the joy of the season. We have discovered the best college holiday events in the nation, both for students and the public.

Fee Structure And Facilities

One feels the fee structure is a bit high. But it's quite reasonable as compared to the other college. The only good thing is that my college has good placement assistance. The faculty of the college is overall very good. We can not say for everyone, but the teachers are very hardworking and they never refuse to clarify doubts at any time possible. Teachers are teaching in good manners but some students are unable to understand the lecture so ask them the problem as they feel for subject.

Fees and Financial Aid

Few college-bound students have the financial resources to pay for their post-secondary education entirely out of pocket. Even students with substantial college savings plans typically find that they are left with sizable amounts of unmet need.

Campus Life

5

I graduated in 2009 from EEE branch. EEE was suppose to be difficult and with less number of qualified faculty it became more dry. Although there were some great professors are more but apart from these rest all were just teachers (that too not good) not researchers. Research should be focusing on now. Centers like TIFAC-Core is a great place for research for Electrical & Electronics students but mostly focused on automotive and embedded systems. Even most of the students are not interested in research but rather just get some passing marks and a placement.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The mess arrangement of the hostel is compulsory for all the inmates without any exception i.e, no student is allowed to stay in the hostel without being a member of mess. When the hostels have excess demand for accommodation and is unable to provide accommodation to all the applicants, the students who find accommodation nearby may be permitted to have the mess facility by collecting full charges for that academic year with an undertaking from such students that they shall join the hostels as and when the hostels provide them accommodation. However, this number shall not exceed 25 at any time. Such students has to submit a separate request form in the format provided by paying the prescribed fee and submit the same to the office. Students should sign the mess joining register kept in the mess at the time of joining the mess. Service in the mess shall be between scheduled hours only & closed after lunch on every Saturday for maintenance. The Mess timings are as follows and the students should strictly adhere to these timings.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni association of Sree Buddha college is very good.Every year, the college is conduct this association without fall.

Admission

As per the Kerala State Entrance Examination result, i got a rank of 14965. Based on this rank, I got a seat in Sree Budhha College of Engineering in 2005 on government basis. I choose Electrical and Electronics Engineering Course under Kerala University.

Faculty

4.5

I am belonging to Electrical and Electronics Engineering Faculty. The faculty includes specialized retired professors from government colleges. They are more experienced teachers, so they can handle all types of students. They are giving good guidelines to all students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
